Public Storage — Attraction in Lantana

Today was pleasant speaking to gentleman in Corpirate Office: Peter I've had some personal difficulties as an retired disabled RN where I was in hospital in Bflo NY. I was charged 2 (two) late fees of $75.50 each as I was late paying for my 2 storage spaces. I spoke with Regional Mngr in Lantana Hypoluxo site who was so rude, condescending, unprofessional when I asked for some professional courtesy, based on never been late, with exception of this past month of May or June, when I as a disabled 61 y/o woman was hospitalized after neck and back procedures including neurosurgery. It should be noted that I had to get TWO separate units as one larger was not available. IS THIS ANY WAY A MULTI MILLION/ BILLION CORP. TREATS ITS CUSTOMERS? IMAGINE IF I as a retired RN gave the same arrogant treatment in the ER and ICU where I worked to someone in need? I would and never did. I have been given two special Awards in 2013 and 2017 as well as many letters written to Administrators re: my excellent and professional care to patients. For this I am grateful. Used to have security guards, which was halted during the pandemic. Can't help but feel that they have realized they can save money and, while everything else is getting back to normal, there is no longer a presence past the normal business hours. After a dead car battery cost me to be late leaving, the gate would not open instead prompting me to call a toll free number which in and of itself is a potential problem for someone who doesn't have a cell phone but luckily I did. The downside? I waited on a loop of music for over 18 minutes, just long enough that I was about to hang up and try again, before someone answered and prompted me to email them a picture of my license plate so as to depart. The representative was very polite and that I appreciated, but I can't help but think that there is a problem that one could potentially be trapped inside of their gated confines, potentially during an incident of bad weather or God forbid, during any other sort of emergency. I reserved a 10x30 space at this location. I couldn't believe what I saw when I opened the door. This place is rodent infested and an absolute dump. Rodent droppings all over. Not to mention the whole area full of nails and screws. If you leave a car or RV here, kiss your wiring harness goodbye, the rodents will eat them causing thousands in damage. I have units in other locations and there are no issues but this location at 1801 Hypuluxo Rd Lantana, FL is like nothing I've ever seen. How can they, with a straight face, rent to people. They reply" thanks for bringing it to our attention. How about since I never used the unit saying " Thanks, we would love to refund you the &400 you paid for this dump" I still haven't heard from them after being promised a call by the area manager. Now they are still trying to collect a months rent from me. Still no refund except for the $20 lock. Stay away. I advise that the area manager take me off the collection list because I'm not...
