REEDS Jewelers — Attraction in Poquoson

I went to the Patrick Henry Mall location. My husband and I are young we don't know anything about buying a ring. At first everything seemed okay when we were to talking to this nice white guy. Then the oriental lady ended up helping us & it seemed like all she wanted was a sale. She over talked and took forever. Not to mention she ran my husband and I credit threw a bunch a creditors . The ring I really really wanted was $2500 but because of the price I was willing to go without it. And since I had to go to work the lady said she would call my husband back once she hears back from the people if my husband got approved for a certain amount. She calls and says we got approved. So we come in the next days and says we got approved but not for the whole amount and we'll have to pay such and such upfront and once we say we're not interested. She says let me see what I can do. Moments later she then says that she was able to get them to drop the price to 1800 & we were like wow okay let's do it then that's a big difference. She then tells us we just have to pay $200 upfront but we tell her we don't have it right now then she finds some way around it and we only end up paying tax which was $25. Now come to find out once we started making payments that's she didn't get them to dropped it to $1800 because we still have $2536 left to pay. She played us & I will be going up there tomorrow to give her a piece of my mind. & or suing ! NOT...

Knew nothing about industry, came in blind but diligent in my research and exploration. I went to EVERY jeweler within a sizable radius to find something very specific. REEDS staff were cordial, friendly and respectful during the entire process; they were able to see my vision in what I was looking for. I came and left a few times without any pressure to make immediate purchase which I appreciated, as I really was foreign to engagement ring-buying process. After educating me on multiple visits and seeing the uniqueness in their collections, I chose a band and stone customized to exactly what my fiancé would want. Will update review as soon as ring is in but acknowledgement of excellent customer relations and service needs to be addressed. Sunny was/is a very personable jeweler who aided me through entire process. She was less concerned about a sale and more attentive to what specifications I was looking for. While giving me endless options within my parameters, other staff members would also chime in to help so you can’t go wrong w REEDS. A couple of months ago, I walked into Reeds after having a negative experience with another retailer.

I spent a little time looking around and talking to the manager (Rachel). She was totally positive and upbeat and amazingly sympathetic to my previous experience. Even though I left the store without making a purchase, I knew I’d see her again.

A couple of days ago, I decided to celebrate a milestone by buying a pair of diamond studs. Due to the first impression made by Rachel, I took my business right to her.

I ended up buying a pair of the most beautiful diamond studs you’ll ever see!!! Rachel worked closely with me to make sure they were one of a kind.

When I opened the box, I couldn’t believe how perfect they were for me and the milestone that I was celebrating! I may never take them off.

It impressed me that this is a family owned business that focuses on the customer service piece and responding to the reviews.

Rachel went the extra mile literally. Anytime I have jewelry needs, I will go right back to her. She is knowledgeable, personable and I now call her my personal jeweler.
