I wish I could give more than 5 stars! When I walked into jewelry stores in the past, I always felt intimidated. From the minute we walked into Reines & Rogers, it was totally different. We were greeted with friendly hellos, yet allowed to browse the store at our leisure until we were ready for assistance. We were looking for a very specific looking engagement ring setting for a diamond that we already had. Kevin was SO patient and helpful...looking thru many books and websites for us. After finally finding THE setting, we needed to find side-stones and of course the setting called for different shaped ones than we wanted. Kevin spoke with the jeweler to see if he could alter the setting and it was a "go". They also helped us in deciding the correct size stones that would work best with our diamond. Kevin was with us every step of the way in this big decision making process and it was like working with a long-time friend. This past friday when we went back to pick it up, we were absolutely speechless when we saw the finished ring! It is more beautiful than we could have ever imagined it would be! Thank you so much for making this special ring even more special! Oh yes.....we were so happy with Kevin's warm friendliness, that we even purchased our wedding bands from him already. Definitely will never go anywhere else for jewelry...
Read moreReines & Rogers did an AMAZING job fixing a ring I’ve had since 2005. The ring is sentimental and very, very well loved. After wearing it daily for years, the prongs kept breaking. I’ve probably had the prongs fixed no less than 5 times. Reines & Rogers was the only company to tell me the reason I keep having to replace the prongs is because the integrity of the setting isn’t what it was when I first got it. Essentially, because the prongs broke once, I’ll have to keep replacing the prongs. The solution was to build a new head for the setting. They did so, as well as adjusted the type of prongs used to hold the stone in place, and it came out beautifully! The overall cost between (1) new prongs/re-setting or (2) replacing the head was about $100. (I had gone to 3 other places, all of which just wanted to replace the prongs, and the cost quote was always $100 less than the new head for the setting.) Spending just $100 more will save me from replacing the prongs in another year or 2, so well worth the cost. I’m so happy...
Read moreI bought a used Rolex watch from them. They said it had been serviced and that it was fine. The watch was hard to wind so I took it to Fink's Jewelry (a Rolex dealer). They sent it to a Rolex repair shop. It needs $4000 worth of repairs.
I took in a strand of Mikimoto south sea pearls for an appraisal and to see if they might take them on consignment to sell for me. They told me to come in talk with them about the pearls. Told me they were only worth around $4,000. I told them I had an appointment to get them appraised at Fink's Jewelry. They said don't waste your money doing that. They brought out a strand of no-name pearls they said were AAA to show me how bad mine were. I did not see much difference between mine and theirs. I went to Finks anyway because they are a Mikimoto authorized dealer for the appraisal appointment.
Got the appraisal back and guess what????
They are appraised at $13,900!!!
