The manager who helped my son had good customer service. However, I didn't like that I said I didn't want the batteries because we were going to Walmart after and she put the batteries in my son's car and said I'll do this for your birthday but don't tell anyone. As we went to the register I saw her ring it up and she said "I have to for inventory reasons" which I understand. But then she scans a coupon for $10 to say the batteries were free, which they were not because it's on my receipt. And if there were coupons specifically for customers to get $10 off of a $40 purchase why are they not promoting or using it? So I feel like there was some dishonesty, greed, & manipulation there. And I get it you wanna make a sale, but being dishonest and having the customers pay more than what they need "because they have the coupon" will not earn you more business or make people come back. So where my purchase should have been $68.32 because my purchase was well over $40 qualifying me for the coupon, I paid $87.32 including the batteries I said I didn't want and the ones "she said she was going to give for free because it was his birthday". That was our first time going to Orlando & our first and last time going to this store. I have the managers picture but out of respect I'm not going to post her. But people who have a purchase over $40 there is a coupon so make sure you ask because they...
Read moreI took my son to Ridemakerz on 4/18/25 for my son’s 3rd birthday. The store just opened for the day so it was completely empty. We were greeted by the manager (I believe) and Alejandra. They were both so welcoming and sweet. They went above and beyond to try to make my shy little guy feel comfortable but he wasn’t in a talkative mood. He was overwhelmed from the morning already. After he picked out his car base we asked if they could build it and I asked if I could film it for him. They said yes and Alejandra took us to the station and built the entire car for him which I appreciated. The manager on duty came and offered my son some snacks which I thought was so sweet and he ate later while we walked around the mall. Alejandra made sure everything was working when she finished building it and she presented it to him. The whole experience was so sweet and even though he was very shy and quiet they both went above and beyond for him/us. I really appreciated it. When he’s a little older I would definitely take him back to try again based on the experience we had with Alejandra and her manager. I cannot type enough good things about them. Visit Ridemakerz at the Florida mall! You won’t be disappointed if all their “mechanics” are as great as them!...
Read moreRidemakerz is a toy store which sales remote control ( RC) vehicles for kids. The experience is all about cosmetic customizing your RC ( wheels, lights, body, etc.). Kids enjoy the experience, but there is a catch, the more you add-on the more it cost. expect to spend $80-$100 per RC build. Also, note the quality of the RC in my opinion is poor, now some parts can be replaced. I recommend you go with the truck style RC not the car. The truck are more robust , faster, less moving parts to break. These RC are good for pavement or indoors not grass nor dirt. I just wish the products were more rebust.
Now my experience overall very good. The staff is good and the gentleman "Greco" is 5 of 5 being really attentive and good sale representative answering all my questions for the pass year going to this location within Florida Mall.
Pros: kids love the DIY nature of customizing their RC. most sales representative are nice. easy to remove and replace parts. can add-on parts over time.
Cons: pricier than you will think. Full build $80-$100. quality is mediocre ( cheap) their are two base models only. Car...
