The Potlatch — Attraction in Incline Village-Crystal Bay

Bad experience at this store. Had a problem with some earrings - they had a funky backing that never "snaped" into place and would constantly fall off. Been wearing earrings for over 30 years however the owner said the design was not flawed, I was, I just could't get them to work. I've worn them 3 or 4 times but they just sitting there in my jewelry box now. Owner would not exchange them or stand by his product. Biggest gripe I have is his handling of a loyal customer. He was very rude and basically told me tough luck. Well, we have purchased so many pieces from him, will not go back again...ever. LOVE spending money on nice things but need to know that the seller stands by their product and provides good (maybe even FAIR would be OK) customer service. Beware of The Potlatch return policy. In very fine print on your receipt, it says "No refunds. Store credit only." Not only was I charged $40.00 over my purchase, but the zipper on one of the sweatshirts was broken. The store manager, worked this "policy" as much as she could, & after what seemed like a half hour of me arguing, complaining about the rude employee I had during the purchase, being overcharged $40, I kept insisting that none of the managers options were acceptable to me,...I wanted a full refund, she finally gave in. Terrible experience! I would have purchased these pretty earrings I saw, but instead of being asked if I needed help or even greeted, the lady said to me, “if you are looking for earrings there are some more economical choices in the corner”. Such a rude remark, assuming that I don’t have enough money to buy $300 earrings… right after that another lady rudely asked if I needed help, as if to pressure me to leave the store.
