The Village — Attraction in Carolina Beach

This place was so unique! I had time to kill between visiting Fort Fisher and checking into my Wrightsville Beach hotel, so I searched for antique stores. This place came up.

It's an unassuming store front, but then you exit out the back into a large outdoor area with seating and all these little shed-like structures, each one its own seller. It's like an antique mall but outdoors. It had such a cool vibe. It was very clean and open and had lots to look at.

A few of the vendors were pretty cramped and kinda junky but most were colorful and clean, and there was all sorts of stuff. Antiques, books, furniture, gifts, local and handmade stuff. And I even saw a sign for some kind of Saturday night drinks event.

The only downside I found was the parking. It was really cramped and you basically had to back out into a busy road. But just be patient because it's absolutely...

I love this place. Every time I go in I am amazed by the amount of new stuff that they have... One time I went in the morning and when I came back at 4 to pick up a piece of furniture, they had completely different stuff in two of the rooms! They always have beautiful furniture, artwork and more, and the prices are the most reasonable in town. Occasionally, they can drop the price on some things for you too! The last few items I've gotten were a brand new World Market Futon for $140, tons of artwork for less than $20, an 8 drawer teal dresser for $120, and a really cute wood tray for the coffee table for $7! Eclectic; interesting mix of handmade, upcycled, vintage and modern/gently-used home decor, knick-knacks, small furniture items, costume jewelry, etc. There are some, but very few, actual antique pieces, and most of those were a bit overpriced. The owner was on site when I visited and I found her to be VERY helpful and informative. I may increase the 3 star rating to 4 or 5 stars in the near future when parking is more abundant and when planned expansions/improvements are made. Biggest issue I had was the lack of any ability to directly contact many of the individual sellers with questions, etc. but with a little more time I think this will be...
