Exceptional Service and Lightning-Fast Repair – Highly Recommended!
While visiting St. Augustine for a much-needed vacation, I had the misfortune of dropping my phone and cracking the screen. It was frustrating—being away from home and suddenly dealing with a damaged device—but I remembered I had insurance, and thankfully, You Break I Fix was the repair shop affiliated with my coverage.
From the very beginning, the experience with this store—and particularly with Joe—was top-notch. I called to get more information about the process, and Joe patiently walked me through everything. He explained how the claim approval worked and let me know that once the repair was authorized, the fix itself would take about an hour. His calm, professional demeanor immediately put me at ease, which was a relief during an otherwise stressful situation.
I did run into a hiccup with the insurance claim itself—not the store’s fault at all—but once I got everything squared away and called back, Joe was right there to help. He quickly pulled up my claim, confirmed that everything was ready, and invited me to come in at my convenience.
When I arrived at the store, Joe greeted me warmly and even remembered who I was from our previous calls. That personal touch made a big difference. He took my phone to the back for the repair, and in what felt like no time at all—just 15 minutes—he came back out with my phone fully repaired and looking brand new. I was genuinely shocked (in the best way) at how fast and efficient the process was.
What really stood out to me, beyond the speed and quality of the repair, was the consistency of the excellent service. From my first call to the moment I walked out of the store with my phone fixed, Joe went above and beyond. He was professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly cares about doing right by his customers. In a world where customer service can often feel rushed or impersonal, this experience was the exact opposite.
I wholeheartedly recommend this location for anyone needing a device repaired—whether it’s a phone, tablet, or anything else. If you’re lucky enough to work with Joe, know that you’re in good hands. Read moreMy two stars are because 1. Marvin was excellent to deal with. He went above and beyond to solve my issue, and 2. Ultimately, my laptop is fixed. I came here to drop off my laptop on July 19th due to a shattered screen and was told by the woman who helped me that I would have it back in 7 days. I was informed that the process was for it to be shipped to their depot in Orange Park, then that location would call me with an estimate, and whether I choose to move forward or not it would be back within that 7 days of drop off. After 4 days of not hearing from anyone, I called the store and was then provided with the estimate. I gave them the go ahead since they already had the laptop and was told a "completion" date of 3-4 days after the phone call. That day came and went without any phone call from either location with an update so I called to see if it's ready. They had still not even begun working on my laptop, already days past the original promised completion date when I dropped it off. I called back a few days later and once again it was still in Orange Park. At this point, we're approaching the second week of them having possession of my laptop but failing to provide any sort of concrete updates. Each time I was told "about 3-4 days" and had still not had any communication from the Orange Park location. Finally, after 13 days of waiting I asked how to ensure my laptop would be ready to be picked up by the next day (a Friday) and was told that I could drive to Orange Park location to get it. Since I dropped it off in St. Augustine I didn't find this to be a fair solution since communication was never initiated by either location, and I had been waiting double the amount of time promised. I waited this last weekend out to approach what is now the 16th day of them having my laptop and spoke with Marvin who immediately called the Orange Park location and had someone bring it to the St. Augustine location so I can pick up the fixed laptop. He also was able to offer me a small discount for my long wait and lack of communication which was appreciated. By the time I made it to uBreakiFix, I was on day two of being locked out of every account of mine, from banking to email. Promptly after explaining my situation, Liberty began solving one problem after another for me. Diagnostics concluded that even with a screen and mid frame repair, I would be left with no working WiFi, Bluetooth, fingerprint sensor (even when calibrated), rear camera (despite calibration), working volume, nor power button. After factoring in what I'd already spent on the display and would have been the final repair cost, I was presented with the opportunity to purchase a certified refurbished android from their inventory. Despite the severe damage, constant overheating, and bootlooping, Liberty was capable of reassembling my Pixel to a state that allowed access to my home screen long enough to back up and transfer everything. Liberty had phenominal patience and expressed an empathetic approach to my repair that greatly impacted my situation. Liberty, your ability to troubleshoot and resolve quickly and accurately saved me an enormous amount of time and money. Your actions in doing so absolutely assured me that Asurion has and will always have the most skilled and trustworthy technicians in the industry.
