We usually love the indoor playground, almost as much as our 2yr old son!! lol at his age it's hard to find ways for him to play with other toddlers his age or close. And he LOOOOOOVES BEING AROUND AND PLAYING WITH THEM SO HE LIGHTS RIGHT UP THE MOMENT HE SEES WHERE WE'RE GOING OR SEES OTHER KIDS. BUT THIS LAST TRIP WAS TERRIBLE!! THE PLAYGROUND WAS EXTREMELY BUSY AND THAT WASNT EVEN THE BEGGING OF THE ISSUE.. THERE WERE KIDS THAT LOOKED 12yrs Old or older running and chasing each other and knocking the little ones down. One of the older boys kneed a much smaller child right in his face while acting crazy and running and screaming. but not even trying to listen when his mom told him to go apologize (he kneed the small boy so hard that his mom had to carry him out of the area.. ifour next trip resembles this one in any way, we won't be returning.. there should be someone watching the playground if only at the entrance because there's no reason those older children should've been acting so wild and it was made worse by their parents allowing it.. we were pretty disappointed in this trip since our son always gets so excited and looks so forward to these visits... One of the small kids are going to get hurt and then it'll be too late and it'll be ruined for all the...
Read moreThe University Town Center is one of the premier shopping districts for the entire Suncoast. It features several large shopping plazas with shops like Target and Michaels' Crafts along with the main shopping mall nearby. There is pretty much every store you might want at UTC from family favorites like Macy's to upscale boutiques with home furnishings, jewelry, and clothing items that can cost thousands. The variety is nice and even if you're not looking to spend a lot, there's plenty of fun window shopping here.
Some notes if you plan to stop by for the first time... foremost, there is no usual food court at this mall. Rather, there are a few restaurant options inside the mall itself, but most are exterior to the main mall. There is plenty to choose from, though, including the classy Capital Grille and relaxed Italian Brio restaurant.
Parking isn't an issue here in my experience, though you might need to take a short stroll. That said, be cautious when driving. There tends to be a lot of traffic at UTC, especially on weekends, and Florida drivers can be very rushy and rude. If you merely take your time, you should have...

I went once and that will probably be it even though I live a stones throw from the place. I will take the kids to the other mall on Tamiami which has Claires, Justice, Build a Bear, train, play area, kiddie rides, indoor mini golf, movie theater and a food court. More importantly they didn't put a Nordstroms in the new mall so the anchor stores are the same as the other mall.
Dudes going to the new mall will want to just hang out at the Apple store while letting their wives wade through the endless stores for women.
Retirees in Sarasota/Bradenton or just flocking past on I-75, you will enjoy the...
