-5 stars, I brought item(s) to the store today & they TOOK my clothes and LIED and said that they didn’t take anything out of my bags. The store rules on the website said bring 2 tote bags and have the clothes ready and prepared to be looked at to sale. Anyways, the store opens at noon on Sundays. We arrived @ 12:02pm. We brought our clothes, mostly from Old Navy because that’s what the website said they’ll take. We signed in, & at the bottom of the registration it’s says do you want to donate or do you want ALL OF YOUR CLOTHES BACK. I said I WANT ALL OF MY CLOTHES BACK on the registration. They told us it’s a 25 minutes process. We said okay because we knew it would take some time (the website said it’ll be 30 minutes). Once they called my name, they declined me because NONE OF MY CLOTHES THEY HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED (mental note) because the clothes has holes and stains. I was dumbfounded because I made sure NONE of the clothes has stains or holes on them several times before I have gotten there & neatly folded in my tote bags, btw, they did not folded back my clothes, they stuff my clothes in the bag any kind of way when I already neatly packed the clothes. The lady showed me a receipt where it says declined at the top and ask ‘Did I want to donate my clothes to charity?’ I looked said ‘No, I wanted ALL OF MY CLOTHES BACK.’ She told me that she needed the receipt back, I gave her the receipt back. Mind you, I’m dumbfounded about why she needs the receipt back and why would you want me to DONATE my clothes if they are declined ALL my clothes. I went to my car and I started counting my clothes AND looking for stains or holes. I didn’t see any. After I have gotten to the bottom of the bag(s), some were still folded like they weren’t looked at all. I also noticed some things are missing. I recounted and looked AGAIN before I assumed anything. I just decluttered my car, so I know my clothes aren’t in the bag(s), but I looked just in case. It wasn’t. We back into the store, and said, “ Some of my things are missing that was in the bag.” “We didn’t take anything.” One the ladies said “I didn’t say you did, I said that some things are missing and you said all of my clothes were declined, but some of my clothes are missing, like my Old Navy and my D.Jeans.” The other lady, “I looked through your things myself at I didn’t see any jeans or taken anything.” “I didn’t say you did, I said some things are missing and I understand some things can be mistaken for others when you are looking through clothes while looking at my stuff.” They said it going to be a 10 minute wait. Cool. The manager came over and said it’ll 20 minutes, so he can look at the camera. I told him I want to look with him because they are saying one thing and I’m saying another and I wanted to make sure that they weren’t any misunderstandings. We looked through the cameras and load and behold, NOT ONLY my old navy jeans and my d.jeans but 2 of my DRESSES AND my SHIRT. ”You sure that’s your dress?” The manager asked. “Yes, I have a picture of my clothes.” (Inventory reasons) They had my CLOTHES in the FOR SALE BOX. I thought all my clothes were DECLINED, why are they in the FOR SALE BOX when I said I wanted ALL MY CLOTHES BACK. Anyways, 1. If you are going to sell your clothes to them, make sure you look with them. (Hence my experience) The prices are just like retail prices, even with holes and dirt on them. (We went through whole store waiting for our clothes, so I know. Don’t get discouraged because of me. I’m one and done. I’m never coming back to this store (duh, we all know why.) Just because the ratings are good doesn’t mean they are. They didn’t apologize for any inconvenience. 7.I’m online on poshmark and mercari @pinkgirlinagirlworld Thank you for...
Read moreLong wait they make you wait in store if you’re dropping off clothes it’s extremely overwhelming and packed in there , I rather go to Plato’s it’s the same prices , they literally gave me $3 a piece for vintage items it’s a shame , but oh well I learned not to come back I don’t like their system , they were taking so much old looking Ross/2015 style and didn’t even take my brand new miss me jeans there were no imperfections yet they passed… and even the lululemon. Get some young people who specialize in Y2k I saw them take in lots of old looking items which are so out of style. I specialize in styling people and those clothes aren’t it… look into Y2k asap. 2 . READ BEFORE YOU GO New edit for their response , it’s not just an option when you don’t advertise the truth. It’s in the website but not the part I’m about to say. They mention you waiting in store or they’ll dontate your clothes you don’t want. But if you leave you’re forced to let them give you a price and you have to accept it and anything they don’t want they will “donate” you can’t take it back. You’re signing a contract that forces you. I did not know that before DRIVING all the way 30 minutes to them. I waited inside the store for almost two hours. It was the worse experience in my life. Go to Plato closet guys. If you leave it here you can’t say no to their price and you can’t take your clothes back. With Plato’s you can drop off and go on about your day. Imagine waiting almost two hours in a small store. They do that so people are forced to look cause you’ll be so damn bored you’ll buy stuff. Very weird tactic I don’t enjoy reselling here. It’s not an “option” when you don’t know this crazy policy before arriving and wasting gas.
All the clothes that they’re donating on your behalf because like I said you can’t take it back unless you wait inside for hours then you can but the prices they give you aren’t worth it. They’re using donations as tax write offs for their store....
Read moreThey really deserve 0 stars. If you guys are of color, (melanated skin tones) do not go into this place! This isn’t for us. The staff is disgusted with us as soon as we walk in. Literally stop mid sentence to not say “welcome in” once they see who you are. I’ve been here twice. First experience was horrible. Went in and asked if the store purchased a certain brand of jewelry…the young lady replied “No. We only buy high end jewelry.” You don’t have to degrade me while answering my question. Just simply say no. Super condescending.
Visited again today, two months later, to give the location a second try to resale some shoes I no longer wear. Interacted with the same lady. Shoes were fresh from the dryer so there were still damp so they were rejected. No problem, thats understandable , but even simply asking the staff if they bought the shoe brand was a problem. She looked so disgusting at me as if I had no business talking to her. If you don’t like your job you should quit! Mental health and customer service should always out weigh income. I asked if I could remove the damp shoes from on top of my bin and just sell them the dry ones at the bottom. Denied again! Even asked if I could return and she told me no because they only due one transaction per customer per day! But she didn’t buy any of my products so why would I not be able to return?
Even getting a second employee involved to back her stinky attitude. I can only conclude that’s it’s a racial thing based on how I saw them interact with customers that were Caucasian. If not then this place just has horrible customer service and I will...
