Yesterday 1/14/23 I went into James Avery around 12pm to add charms to my bracelet i never got a āhi welcome in or anythingā the young ladies at the front were just talking the whole time. I walked up there and told her I wanted to put charms on my bracelet. Never ever have I had to put my own charms on with the pin, she handed me two pins and told me to put them on mind you Iām scared of any type of needle or pin incase I poke myself. I indeed ended up poking myself with the pin and started to feel light headed. I got my first charm bracelet when I was 1 Iām now 20 Iāve never ever had to put my own charms on. When I returned to pick it up I brought my mother because sheās always wanted a charm bracelet. When we walked in the same girl was working from the morning , still no hi hello or do you need help with anything? Although , when the next couple walked in she walked right up to them with a smile and asking if they needed anything my mom responded and said thank you for asking me if I needed help the girl then laughed and walked away and my mom said I want this bracelet and the worker then replied with āoh you were being seriousā. My mom didnāt end up getting anything because she felt uncomfortable and judged and it was her first time and it made me sad because I love your company but not when we get treated like that. Every single time I went there they would ignore me, never greet or my family or ask us if we needed help, but as soon as someone else went in the store they would run out to them. And I dont know if its because I am mexican american and spoke spanish with my family because every time I would speak spanish to her they would only stare at me. Excuse me? And one time I asked the African American lady that worked their to help me pick out some charms she just told me to write them down and show the paper to someone amd walkes away when I had just seen her write down the charms a lady needed and walked her to the counter and showed her. Excuse me? Im a shift supervisor and I know that the way these employees are working is not acceptable and whomever is suppose to be supervising them is not doing their job. I will never return to this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had a wonderful experience at this location on Sunday afternoon when I visited with my daughter to have a charm put back on that had fallen off. I also asked if all of the bolts could be checked, as this was the second charm to fall off. Anisa, the associate who assisted us, was incredibly polite and thorough. I explained to her that I was unaware that charms could fall off and that the purse charm had fallen off shortly after purchasing it in 2024. I also shared that I had a negative experience with a different associate regarding the lost charm, that the same associate had helped me during the Christmas holiday, and that experience wasn't pleasant. Anisa sincerely apologized for the past issues and kindly replaced my daughter's charm as a "goodwill" gesture because of the previous experiences. She was so pleasant, professional, and truly went above and beyond to make things right. I just want to thank her again for her...
