I recently had an opportunity to experience what this establishment has to offer about a month ago, and I was exceedingly impressed with their wings! They were on point, bussing bussing, off the chain, zesty, sticky, saucy, flavorful, tangy, spicy, garlicky, lemony, all that, and more! I absolutely love wings, especially when they're done right! I must say that this establishment is the WING MASTER!
I met up with some coworkers for Happy Hour on a Friday afternoon after work. We're all educators so this was a treat for us after dealing with a long and stressful work week. One of the English teachers that I work with consistently raves about this place informing me on how good the wings and appetizers are. I must admit that I have driven past this establishment several times for years and I would always wonder if they were any good. Now that I have finally had the chance to experience what they have to offer, one can only wish I had not procrastinated and tried them sooner rather than later!
There were about eight of us in total, and since teachers get free appetizers per two people, we took advantage of this opportunity. We ordered their Totchos, and the Blue Cheese Potato Chips. The Totchos are simply tater tots done just so like nachos. They were loaded with bacon pieces, cheese, red onions, chopped cilantro, and topped with chopped chicken and drizzled with a bbq flavored sauce. The Blue Cheese Potato Chips appetizer was equally as delicious as the Totchos, if not better. It consisted of house made crunchy thin potato chips topped with green onions, chopped tomatoes, bacon pieces, and blue cheese. The flavors were out-of-this-world insane! I enjoyed both appetizers but I prefer the Blue Cheese Potato Chips for my next visit. For our drinks, my daughter and I ordered the Psychedelic Frog, another co-worker ordered a Kentucky Mule, and everyone else ordered beer. The Psychedelic Frog was absolutely delicious but I did not taste the alcohol in it at all. My coworkers were all saying it was going to sneak up on me but it never did. I'm still waiting on that, lol. It was a weak drink. So if you're anything like me and you enjoy strong drinks then do not order any of the fruity drinks. You'd probably do better by ordering straight shots instead.
Furthermore, after enjoying our delicious appetizers, everyone ordered wings. Since it was my first visit, I took the liberty of ordering four different flavors to test the waters. I went with the lemon pepper dry rub, Vampire Killer, Buffalo mild, and Jamango Jerk flavors. My absolute favorite was the lemon pepper dry rub. They were full of zesty lemony flavor and I could taste the lemon flavor in every glorious bite. My second fav was the Vampire Killer which possessed a spicy garlicky kick and an explosion of other infused flavors. The Jamango Jerk flavor was pretty good, possessing a sweet and spicy palate. The Buffalo mild was also good. They were the traditional bone-in buffalo wing but with an enriched flavorful crunchy crust. The crust is what really sets their Buffalo Mild apart from other traditional buffalo wings that I've had in the past. To top it off, the wings were not undercooked or overcooked. They were perfect.
In conclusion, Plucker's is a laid-back, let-your-hair-down, kick-back and be-yourself type of establishment that serves delectable and flavorful wings and appetizers. The atmosphere is very inviting and welcoming. Customer service was excellent! Our server Diego was extremely professional, friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone who's looking for a place to unwind after a long work week where you can be as loud as you want without anyone looking at you sideways. The vibe of the overall environment reminds me of my favorite local spot, Willies Icehouse and Grill. It just feels like home, a place where you can be yourself and enjoy the company of friends and family all while enjoying some flavorful finger-licking mouth-watering lip-smacking wings served...
Read moreWell I hadn't been to pluckers in about a year I went in with a friend and first they see this out in the patio kind of area that they have those kind of warm out there then The waitress asked us for our drinks we gave her drink order and she took about 10 minutes to get our drinks then she took her order we ordered appetizers first and then our main meal well 20 minutes later we get our appetizers then another 10 minutes later we get our wings we each order the 10-wing combo which was fine we had 10 wings and they gave us this little cup of ranch for each order I'm talking about this cup is small where maybe you get two wings out of it so we asked for another thing of ranch it could get a bigger one she brings us a bigger one which is enough for both of us but we each get our own so the meal was going fine but it took A long time to get our drink refills so then when I get the bill after our meal I noticed that we were charged for picking our flavors and the wings so I had a 10-piece and I had five lemon pepper and five buffalo hot I got charged extra for doing that and then I got charged $2 for each ranch that we got okay my bill was over $80 which is probably nothing to what some people spend there but when your nitpicking every little thing I mean you're telling me I can't have two flavors on a 10-piece I've never been to a wing place that's charged me a price for doing that so once I paid we sat there and we were talking she never brought us a bag or offered you know a cup for our drinks to go I asked another waitress if she could get us a bag and she said sure Now here's where it gets funny we're waiting 10 minutes for a bag and I'm about to go walk and get one then our waitress comes by and hands us our bag so the waitress that I asked to just get us a bag was too busy or didn't care to get my bag for me she had to go and tell our original waitress to get our bag for us I've never seen that happen before or I've never seen people you know be that way usually servers will be like oh you need to back here let me get you one real quick that's it I don't think I'll ever go to pluckers again because of this because if you're going to start charging me for having two flavors on a 10-piece and then you're going to charge me $2 for extra ranch when you give me these little cups these little serving cups of ranch You're just digging for more money is my opinion I mean I've been the big city wings and their quality of wings are just about the same as pluckers I get more ranch there and the service is much better so I'm sorry but I know you guys are not going to care because you got all these people coming in but I understand how it works I'm just one person and nobody's going to care about that one person because you got so...
Read moreThe food and drinks here are amazing!!!! Abbey and the other bartenders that work there are exceptional. I cannot remember the others that work behind the bar at this moment but you will be in good hands.
The flavors of the sauces are exceptional! I highly recommend getting the appetizer sampler as the fried mac and cheese is to die for. Among the other things on the sampler will treat your taste buds very well.
I'd like to thank Pluckers for being able to hire such amazing staff. I always sit at the bar but I'm sure the table service is great as well. I know that the bartenders that have waited on us we have seen on the floor working tables also.
The kitchen staff is spot on and the chicken tenders are HUGE, along with their bone in wings bigger than any place I've ever seen.
Honestly, I haven't ordered anything that hasn't tasted good. Do yourself a favor and stop in and see Abbey and the rest of the bartenders that work there. Sorry ladies and gents for not remembering the rest of your names. There is a guy that works behind the bar who is amazing huge shout out to him yesterday who was working behind the bar, before Abbey came behind the bar.
If you are reading this message do yourself and your taste buds a favor, and treat them to this amazing food and outstanding service.
Oh.......don't forget to sign up for the Pluckers membership for $20 it acts like a Landry's card where you earn points on your food purchases.
After you obtain 100 points you get $10 off your bill. You also always get a free appetizer or dessert when you are there as well. One night we even got both a free appetizer and a dessert!
I cannot say enough great things about this place as I highly recommend it due to their large menu. That consists of other items such as salads, sandwiches, and burgers!
Oh and they have fried twinkies and fried oreos so no more waiting for the Rodeo to get your fix on.
Their brownie is very good as well if you love chocolate made with Ghirardelli chocolate and has their chocolate chips embedded into it as well.
On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best I'd say they are a 10. Although 10 does not do this place justice as they are off the charts!!!!! Keep up the great work ladies...
