I was so excited and very pleased with the delivery of our Adriana Panel Bed today.
We are so grateful to Kami, the Manager at the East Point Mall store who helped make the adjustment we needed to switch the Hazel Sleigh Storage Bed that we originally purchased at VCF Catonsville.
We purchased the entire bedroom set but were unaware that the Bed sold to us was not compatible with the Sealy Brigerton Firm Mattress and Adjustable Base. When that bed was delivered it was sitting so high that I had to climb on the bed with a step stool. It was terrible! I couldn't believe the salesperson didn't know that it was not a good fit for me. I'm 4'11" and have difficulty with my knees, so climbing on a step stool was not going to work for me. Even my husband who is 5'10" said it was too high to be comfortable.
I was not reassured when I made the complaint to the salesman who sold the set to us, so I called customer service and got the Manager Kami. When I told her my dilemma, she too was in agreement that the storage bed was Not compatible with the adjustable base and mattress. It sat to high on the storage bed.
She was so kind and understanding and said "let me see what I can do for you". I received a call back from Kami's assistant who told me they would come and pick up the Bed on Sept.3rd. Yay!
Then Kami and I spoke via phone and discussed what kind of bed would go with my mattress and the adjustable base and after looking at the VCF website, we came up with the Adriana Panel Bed. The adjustable base and mattress will fit into the Panel Bed frame and not have to sit on top of a storage bed.
My husband and I went to the East Point Mall store to see the bed and try it out and to meet our Angel Kami. She was just as kind and courteous in person as she was over the phone. Kami, is the perfect example of Excellence, and Phenomenal, Customer Service.
She made me feel valued and appreciated as a new customer with VCF. She made sure my purchase was satisfactory and we were pleased with our purchase. That's what is needed and appreciated when you are spending thousands of dollars. This was a big purchase for us as we moved into our new home and purchased our Living Room and Bedroom Furniture from VCF.
I only have good things to say about the quality of the furniture, and the comfortabity of our Adriana Panel bed. We also saw a small Agate table that fit perfectly with our living room set and brought it home with us.
Most of all I appreciate the quality of customer service by the Manager, Kami at the East Point Mall location. Thanks again Kami, for taking good care of us.
Thanks to VCF for the quality of service by the delivery team too! They were all wonderful.
VCF we will be back! 💙

Read moreMy overall experience at VCF left a lot to be desired. I originally gave a 5 star rating before receiving my furniture because my salesman, Steve Miller encouraged it before leaving the store.
After going through what I did waiting delivery, I now have decided to change my review to 2 stars. Steve was good as a salesman but I believe could have done more to help with the delivery issues I encountered. When in the store, Steve was very personable, knowledgeable and didn’t pressure me to buy something out of my budget. He’s a very personable guy to talk to and I’m sure most people would like dealing with him as their salesman.
I knew what I wanted when I came to the store that’s why I drove an extra 25 mins out of the way to the only location that had the furniture I wanted to on the floor.
Needless to say, I bought the furniture and was to receive it in 5 days. This was a necessity for me because I just moved to town and needed it fast. For the past two weeks of moving in, all I had was a computer desk chair and plastic bin to put my feet on to catch a sit down.
Everything was on track for delivery to happen on the 5th day as promised but sadly 2 different confirmed delivery dates were cancelled and rescheduled due to warehouse shipping issues. After getting the complete runaround from the personnel at the warehouse as to why this was happening, I reached out to Steve who was sympathetic but really didn’t do much to help move, expedite or find out what the issue was. I expected more from him and the staff at Westview to aid in my plight to get what I paid for.
After a third scheduled delivery date, my furniture finally arrived without issue but 6 days after the original planned delivery date.
Due to this single buying experience, I don’t plan on buying from VCF again. I know what to expect here so I’d rather try another store.
I also advise NOT to give or leave any feedback on your own buying experience until you receive your item. I have a feeling Steve grabbed me up to leave feedback before I left the store because he knew the possibilities of what can and will go wrong after you pay that bill. That good feeling you get in hopes of things going well at time of checkout only turns to disappointment thereafter when the next department takes over to...
Read moreShop at value city furniture store in Woodlawn or Baltimore National pike at your own risk. The so called management or the worker who claimed to work in management are very deceitful. They will look at you in the face and give you a fat lie. Here is the full story. I ordered some furniture at the above location, and I was given a date to pickup at the warehouse in White Marsh located at 10000 Franklin Square Drive. I was told the warehouse opens from noon to 5 PM. When I got there, there was parking for pickups and phone number posted for the costumer to call for someone to open and release the merchandise. At about 12:30, I was out there with another costumer after calling the posted number several times and no one was answering. At about 12:40 am, one of the ladys started banging on the door and someone finally open. Mind you this was my second attempt to pick my furniture and the it was not there even though I was asked to return on that specific day. What I quickly learned at the warehouse and the value city furniture at Woodlawn is that, we take big title like "a manager" and give to morons, who don't even understand their role as a manager. For example after being at the warehouse twice and could not collect my furniture, I returned to the store and asked for my refund and compensation for gasoline. One of the so called " manager" said they will give me $50 for my gas, but guess what another manager came and said, "we cannot give you $50 because you are not buy the furniture anymore." The function of any manager is to be knowledgeable about your job, be honest with your costumer and do not say anything to any costumer that you cannot fulfill. What level of education does these so called mangers have, do the really know their job functions, do they know that it's professional to update customers in a timely manner regarding merchandise especially when the customer has been given a specific date to return for pick. Please take anything they tell you in these stores with a grain of salt. You want 100% leather sofa, they will sell 0% leather in the name of...
