Value City Furniture — Attraction in St. Clairsville

i bought furniture from this place in canton ohio way before Christmas and it took way too long to have it delivered too me and when it did finally come it was delivered from St. Clairsville because they it was closer than Canton too me, the delivery guys never showed me anything about the furniture and how it worked or anything. then not even 5 min. out of the driveway my husband and i started to play with the gadgets and try to figure it all out on our own. the coffe table was brok and didnt come out in the middle like it was suppose too, so i called and the sent someone out to look at it after i threatened with the BBB being called on them. brand new furniture and i couldnt use some of it. almost a month later someone come out and looked at it and said yes i will order a pce. and fix this for you. i said just bring me a new one that works, he said i cannot do that mam its against our policy, i have to fix it for you. We picked up our furniture yesterday and love it! The whole process was amazing! From the moment we ordered the ladies in the office kept us informed and up to date on our order. When we picked up Marcus was very through in making sure we had all of our items and carefully helping to load them. He had a very friendly attitude and was great to deal with! The recliner had a slight issue as it was not reclining properly. I called the store and spoke to Matt P the manager and he was very understanding and worked with the service department to get the issue resolved. I spoke with the service man Robert and he was great and offered to come out that day within only a few hours! He arrived promptly on time and was so kind and courteous from the moment he arrive! He immediately flipped the recliner over and was able to fix the issue within seconds! He then showed my husband what he did and how it could be tweaked if need be in the future! Robert was one of a kind and so amazing! He is excellent at his job and I would be happy to have him come back any time when I need service! We love Value City in St.C and will definitely be shopping there...

Overall, the furniture is great. My family bought a living room set and a dresser from this store. However, the over the phone customer service and repair services are atrocious at this store! After waiting 5 hours on a repairman to arrive at our house does this store answers our phone calls to inform us that they are not coming to our house today due to the part we ordered, for our furniture (that arrived broken) to get repaired, did not come in. We confirmed this appointment the night before by the way. But we understood, stuff happens; HOWEVER, the lady who was talking to us would not give us an estimate on when the part would come in, what time of day they could come to fix it, and started yelling at my mother as if this were her fault. Not only this, but the EXTREMELY rude lady over the phone hung up TWICE on my mom when she tried to resolve this. We called corporate and all of these issues were solved immediately.
