I went round and round with these people for 2 days and walked away with nothing but an inquiry on my credit report and an expired coupon that's now useless. There were 3 beds I wanted to purchase while taking advantage of the 12 months interest free program that they claim to offer. I went into the store and waited for 15 minutes before an associate finally attempted to assist me. He went on to tell me that they don't have any of the beds that I was looking to purchase and couldn't even pull up 2 of them in his computer system, even though I showed him the items for sale on the Big Lots' website from my phone. I left the store a bit frustrated. Later, I called customer service to try and get resolve because I still wanted to make purchase. I had a coupon that would expire the next day. The lady did try to help me make the purchase online until we ran into another issue. There were some items that would not ship. My choices were to drive to 2 different locations more than 25 miles away or pay $150 for delivery. Reluctantly, I decided to make the drive to pick up the items. I went online to apply for the credit card to take advantage of the 12 months interest free promotion. I was approved but was told by customer service management (Adam) that I could not use the card to make an online purchase and they would not give me a card number in order to do so. They told me I could make a purchase in the store with a sales associate. This was not helpful due to the fact that the store associate could not even access 2 of the items that I was trying to purchase. Read moreI recently called Big Lots to check the availability of a product. Upon speaking with Lisa (in the furniture department), she was professional and very helpful. The item that I was looking for was out of stock. I was able to purchase a display unit. After arriving at the store and walking into the front door; Lisa motioned for me to come over. She wanted me to take a look at the display unit. I took a look at it, and then made the purchase. After paying for the item, Lisa and "Kim" helped me load the entertainment center onto my utility trailer in the pouring rain. After I successfully securing the entertainment center on the trailer, I stepped back into the store; and asked to speak with the manager. I wanted to tell the manager what a wonder the two employees did. The Store Manager was called to the front, and I was shocked! It was the same gentleman who helped me load the entertainment center onto the trailer. The professionalism/care that Lisa and Kim displayed was truly unbelievable! I was interested in an artificial Christmas tree I didn’t see one one the floor and they were all discounted at 30 % off I had to ask for assistance to try to find the one I liked. A managerial young female came out from out back of the store. She had told me the only one available was the floor model the 30%discount did not apply for this model nor any other discount. She started breaking down the tree in a hurry and I asked if it came with a box with a rude response of NO a 300$ tree shoved in a cart no thank you.
