I attended Hendrix College, from 2001-2006, as a double-major. When I graduated and went on to a state university, it was an absolute breeze. I was one of the very few right-leaning students, and was probably a bit immature, for my age and company, but thoroughly enjoyed the experience. My only complaints were that I was physically attacked, twice, while a student, living on campus, both times by non-students, looking for trouble, who should not have been on campus. I suffered a TBI and live with epilepsy, as a result of one of these encounters. One of my friends got a black eye. The offenders were UCA students, in the first incident, and a resident of Little Rock, in the second, who was visiting a female friend. I guess some things are just the hazards of society. In all, this was a very safe place, and I don't hold the college responsible. It did ruin my academic career, and left me disabled, for life, but I have fond memories of this beautiful campus as well as the friends, faculty, and knowledge I gained. It is a...

If you don't insist on visiting Hendrix before you choose a college, you may never know what a great college experience can be! We visited 6 small, private, liberal arts colleges within 600 miles of Austin, Texas (our home), and Hendrix was the obvious choice to each of us. We've never regretted it for a moment. The campus is so beautiful and comfortable, Conway is a very nice little town, but it's the people that make Hendrix truly special.
