I was so excited to finally have a Lost Pizza Co here in Conway. My fiancée and I have made many trips to the Benton location because the pizza is just fantastic. We patiently waited for the Conway location to open and were met with nothing but disappointment.
To start we ordered 4 small pizzas because we wanted to sample some new flavors we’ve never had before. We waited about 30 minutes for our pizzas while everyone around us who got there after us got their food. We just chopped it up to the fact that we had 4 small pizzas and that probably took a little more time. The manager then came out and apologized about our wait time and said that one of our pizzas was made incorrectly so that was the hold up. He said they accidentally made a large one of what we ordered and offered it to us while we waited. We accepted and decided we would take it home for the weekend. We continued to wait and wait while people around us who got there after us came and gone. The manager then comes out again with 3 of our 4 pizzas and said that they messed up another one of our pizzas and instead of waiting on it they just decided to bring out what was already made which was fine with us. We were just hungry and excited to get our food because we’ve had nothing but great experiences prior at the Benton location. The Lucile i ordered came with an extra free topping of onions which I did not order and was barely warm by the time it got to the table. I picked through it disappointed while I waited for the other pizza I ordered, hoping it would be made correctly with no extra toppings and be hot. They then bring out the last pizza we ordered (a pitboss) along with another free small hamburger pizza for the extended wait and messing up 2 of our pizzas. I try the pitboss and it’s okay, toppings were skimpy just like on the other 3 pizzas we tried (the Lucile, Otis and BYO pizza).
The staff and manager were great and friendly during this whole experience and apologetic. I’m not one to complain about the free food but it really was not worth it because the food was just so lack luster. As stated above we ordered 4 small pizzas and the flavor was just not there. The crust tasted like something you’d buy out of a pre made pizza kit from the dollar store and the toppings just really had no flavor. They really did resemble a personal pizza from the gas station but tasted worse. Super disappointed in this location and we will be returning to the Benton one...
Read moreI really like Lost Pizza and have been going for quite a few years. I was excited one was opening nearby (saves the drive to Benton!) and went for my first time today.
To start, it’s definitely a step down from its sister location food wise. The Otis here is not the same, nor does regular style pizza taste like it’s had any love put into it.
Dough was pretty bland, no seasoning or taste, even the toppings felt lackluster.
We ordered 4 small pizzas and you can be the judge:
10-15 minute wait ended up being 20-25 (for just the first large(free) pizza Our first pizza was a large version of one of the small pizzas we ordered and it was already boxed. Essentially they had made it a large by accident and gave us a free pizza. We then got 3/4 small pizzas, but they weren’t really hot off the oven, and the Lucille had onions added. (I saw a similar issue another customer had where they got the wrong toppings in the reviews) They brought out our final pizza along with another free pizza to apologize for the wait, which was closer to 35 minutes by this point.
Also not trying to be a stickler here but they really aren’t generous with their toppings. I’ve also seen other reviews that have said something similar.
My issue here is that yes, we did get 2 free pizzas, but the process took awhile and it was awkward that we kept getting free (slightly cold) food. Feels weird to complain about free, but none of these pizzas tasted better than a local US Pizza Co. and definitely not as good as their sister location.
Manager & staff were all great, not blaming them at all, food just isn’t up to par with other Lost...
Read moreThis is a great addition to West Conway for pizza. While Hideaway is still our favorite, I did like Lost Pizza. I only have some minor complaints that are keeping me from giving it 5 stars. Let's start with the atmosphere. I love all the retro stuff on the walls and ceiling and even the bathroom. I would like to see more than like two or three booths. There is plenty of room along some of the walls and front glass windows to add more booths. The other thing is the noise level. When my family first visited, the restaurant was not crowded and there was just music playing and the music was at what I consider an acceptable level. Yesterday I visited at lunch time with my Mother and the noise level (not the music) was so loud that we struggled to have a conversation. I'm not sure what can be done to lower this. Perhaps some carefully placed sound deadening panels. Now let's talk about the food. I've only had their version of a supreme pizza (the Kujo) and it's very good overall. It has a good amount of cheese and toppings but the one thing holding it back is the crust. It's thin which is my favorite but it's not crispy at all. It's quite soft and almost to the point of being soggy. Perhaps it has just a bit too much sauce or the oven isn't getting as hot on the bottom as it is on the top. If that could be fixed, it would be fantastic thin crust pizza. I haven't tried the thicker crust pizza so I will try that next. I also want to mention the dessert breadsticks with the cinnamon sugar and icing dip. They were fantastic and the highlight of our first visit to...
