Coos Bay Liquor Store — Attraction in Coos Bay

Update: Just requested a case of Bitburger beer and to my delight, I got it! :D I am so happy to have access to my favorite beer again. I was tickled pink that it even came in bottles! :D Original review: There are few places I would rather go to get liquor. This move for Coos Bay Liquor to the new location right on the 101 was a really well thought out plan. The color scheme, mementos, spacious parking lot, and classic architecture are very Jack Daniels oriented. It reminds me of walking into a cool store on a very hot day looking for something special. It won't matter if you are looking for beer, soda, a specific vodka, or a good old whiskey, this store has you covered. I even found one of my favorite off-the-wall peanut butter whiskeys here! The friendly service has always been a favorite of mine, now the space makes it even better. It was one of those windy spring days in Coos Bay when the wife and I went in looking for a bottle of Jameson and some cooking sherry. When it's gets windy like that my wife usually wears a face mask otherwise her allergies really give her hell. Anyway, I went to find the sherry while my wife went to get the Jameson. I managed to find the sherry and as I was walking past the front counter to join my wife, I overheard the older gentleman working there make a derogatory remark about my wife regarding the mask she was wearing. The gal behind the counter joined in as well. 30 years ago I would have spread that old mans cartilage all over his counter, but I don't do that anymore. We took the high road and returned our merchandise to where we found it and decided to spend our money elsewhere...

Will be passing up to go to north bend liquer any day of the week. More pretentious liquer store workers that don't deserve anyone's time or money.

We are new to the area and my wife went out recently looking for a couple bottles as she only likes a few she has tried and to try new things. She was laughed at for asking the people behind the counter if they have or do recieve certain brands. Some witch I know are allocated. Unhelpful and arrogant. Yall need to learn customer service and do better. On a side note north bend liquer was helpful and very nice answering all her questions 👌 go...
