Coos Art Museum — Attraction in Coos Bay

The Coos Art Museum is a very nice Museum. The building is clean and well maintained. There are several restrooms in the building. There is a fee but it is very minimal. Most of the artwork is for sale and there are binders showing the prices. The staff is very friendly. I did not see any handicapped parking in front of the building but there is a ramp to the front door and there is an elevator to the second floor. The entrance door does have a button to open the door.. The first floor art rooms are wide open and plenty of open space. The second floor rooms have doors that are not automatic and could be problematic for handicapped visitors. It is a very nice art museum and worth a visit when visiting...

So this museum can be quite incredible, but sadly with only 4 hours open all weekend long only on Saturday 1 pm till 4 pm. Closed Sunday and Monday then open weekdays Tuesday thru Friday 10am till 4 pm. Having come to town with friends from Portland and Seattle looking to get vibe of area to do a co op gallery.. this was was very disappointing as it was closed maybe more people local as well as tourists would check it out if it was open times people/kids were off that work and/or...

What a great little museum and gallery! Well priced admission that allowed my family and I to enjoy some absolutely exquisite artwork. Both of my kids are involved in the arts, so this was right up our alley as a family. They also had a 'people's choice' contest going on where we could vote on the paintings we liked best in the main gallery, and it was such a good idea because it sparked a lot of great conversation about the pieces.
