Andrew Brown Park West — Attraction in Coppell

This park is brand new. All of the playground equipment is new and shiny and in excellent shape. They have a nice sand volleyball pit with 2 courts and some sunshades. They have 2 full and 2 half basketball courts with nice backboards and painted lines on the courts. They are a dark blue so they may get a little hot this summer, but they are very nicely done. There are a couple of covered areas for eating and there is easy access to clean public restrooms and water fountains. There is more than ample parking because of the baseball fields that are located at this park as well, but when we visited the park with games going there were still plenty of open spots. Park has a variety of play areas for which children can take advantage including areas for adults. During events and/or occasionally weekends, concession stand is open for business and provides a variety of snacks to enjoy ranging from sour straws, snickers, popcorn and snow cones, soda and juices of sorts. My wife, daughter and I enjoyed our blueberry snow cones during our visit. Kids play area has a generous over hang to keep the area cool during hot days and does well enough. I love this park. I am now in the Denton area. I will literally wake up on the weekends and drive to Andrew Brown Park to walk the trail, on both sides. This is one of the nicest parks I have ever been to. The renovation is beautifully done, well kept, and clean. The trail is about 3 miles on the big side give or take and about 1 mile on the small side. There is a little playground on both sides. Pool area on the big side. Volley ball area on both sides.
