ATTENTION COFFEE LOVERS if you order a coffee IT. WILL. COME. IN. A. PERSONAL. CARAFE!! Great service, trendy/cute interior, and our food came out fast! These guys came in and swept us off our feet. They just opened this past week yet their operations are running absolutely so smoothly - like a well oiled machine. I was very impressed. There was an ample amount of staffing who were professional, knew what they were doing, and even offered to box up our leftovers at the end of our meal. Ok now to get to the most important part - the food!! We got the biscuits and gravy breakfast, roasted mushroom omelet, and chicken fried steak. Some sides that came with these dishes free of charges were pancakes, fruit, toast, and hash browns. We tried all the sides except the fruit and ended up getting an upcharged side of maple waffle fries to try. The biscuits and gravy dish was ok. The biscuits were a bit dry but the gravy was good. The scrambled eggs were unremarkable. The maple waffle fries were just waffle french fries but had some sort of a maple flavor added to the outside coating. It was also just ok. The fries were the frozen kind with a special flavor so it was special in one way but also not in another. I guess since they were not homemade french fries and also not waffles it was a bit confusing to me. I had to ask the server "are they waffles or are they french fries?" and she had to clarify they were french fries with maple flavoring on them. The roasted mushroom omelet was very very very under salted and I tend to eat my food very low sodium so my breaky partner definitely felt it was bland. The roasted vegetables had no roast flavor in them. They tasted like they were sautéed in a pan which is fine if the name of the omelet and description didn't say it was roasted. Lastly the chicken fried steak was pretty good! It had a good flavor, good amount of salt and also had a nice amount of gravy on top. The meat was not steak, though. The texture was more like a thin hamburger patty with a fried batter - which was definitely good in its own way. Lastly the most important thing at a breakfast place, the pancakes(!), were spongy, moist, and had a great vanilla aroma. They weren't perfectly round and beautiful which I thought was more endearing and came with a mascarpone butter which was very yummy! The pancake sides also came with two stacked on top of one another so it was fun to have a small "stack" of pancakes. Beware ours came with one big one and one tiny (hidden gem of a pancake) under it! I found it to be a cute and funny mistake that can be worked on. :) The hashbrowns were good and had a nice flavor and texture. They have plenty of parking and even had a little photo op with a cute backdrop! Don't forget to check out their bar, they have alcohol options!

Wanting to go to Hemingway Brunch, but want to beat the lines and the people, I’ve got the place just for you. This place is located right off the northern end of the Denton Tap just before the Sam Rayburn Tollway, across a bridge — deep in the heart of Coppell. If you’re looking forward to mimosas during brunch and omelettes and spilling the queer tea, then this place might just be it for you. The grandeur and chic atmosphere gives this place a brand new meaning to having brunch with your friends — from near and afar. In this sense, I would’ve been the one that came from afar. There was barely any wait — in fact, we were seated immediately. The wait wasn’t long until we were asked about what drinks we wanted to start with, and which entrees we wanted to go with. I opted in for an English Breakfast tea option — of which it was prepared the British way with a kettle and milk on the side. I found that to be surprising because sometimes, a lot of

Then came the brunch entrees — I opted for a Florentine omelette with goat cheese and lettuce, and hashbrowns. The hash brown texture was just right, and the goat cheese was very much spread out throughout the omelette. What made this stop unique was the way the hospitality portion of it played out — this place cannot match unlike any other brunch place — they checked up on us very often, making sure that our experience was top notch and never a bad one at any point given in time. I’ll definitely be back here soon to try more, of course, when I’m in town. If ever you’re trying to find a brunch spot that won’t break your bank, yet don’t want to drive out of the city of limits of Coppell, then the Double Yolk Cafe may just be the one spot for you, your friends, or both!

Updating review as we eat. We came because we got coupons, failed to read that it was only Mon-Fri so that's on us. Server rudely asked if we "Know what we want or need time" no hello, welcome, good afternoon, nothing not even a "My name is, ____, I'll be your server today." Didn't ask if we wanted any type of cocktails or drinks besides the water she slammed on the table. Then we don't see her for almost the entire time we eat for 1 water refill to which she came back about 3 minutes later asking if we needed boxes when we were clearly still eating and talking. The most impatient server i have ever had; like girl come on, not a good look. Girlfriend ordered the Carnivore Skillet with Oreo Smores pancakes: I ordered the Florentine omelet with Cinnamon roll pancakes: Food was top notch. Came out hot and fresh and had great flavor. Pancakes were a little dry to my liking but that's up for interpretation. Our Skillet and omelet were very good. Sweet tea first was not sweet then was more stale than a saltine from 1974 We will be back, but i serverly hope we do not get the same server on our next visit because it will dissuade us from a third visit.

My wife and I visited the new breakfast spot on Saturday the 11th. Atmosphere was good. Decor looked fresh and clean. Walking in we noticed the very large plates and portions. We were sat immediately. Our first sign of problems was the waiters with the ear pieces on. He asked for our order and we ordered. He was immediately interrupted by his walkie where he proceeded to instruct others on other tasks. My wife ordered again and once again. He asked for a repeat. After the third time I orders for my wife. I then proceeded to order my breakfast and he failed to listen to what I said. I repeated myself two more times. It was very unprofessional to us that he would approach our table unprepared to give us the attention to get a simple order in. After he left we noticed just about every employee had earpieces in. We were very surprised to find that our food came out extremely fast. Probably too fast. I ordered the English muffin with scrambled eggs and has browns with pancakes. My wife ordered the French toast. Portion sizes were very big. I looked at my eggs which looked suspicious to me. They were cold to the touch. Portion were warm as if they were sitting under a hot lamp. The English muffin was heavily buttered and the cheese was old tasting and stale. The hash browns also has this deep buttered taste to them. Everything was unsalted and tasteless. The pancakes looked decent enough until I tried them. They were rubbery and tasteless. My wife's plate was much simpler. She complained of rubbery texture and a "weird taste". She did not finish. The waiter was attentive. He would come by every few minutes to ask how the food was. Come to find out he was not paying attention and just going by the "script" as he asked us "is everything good" to which I replied no. He just walked away and ignored the inquiry. We paid and left. Most likely will not visit this place again. Such a...

I had a terrible second visit to Double Yolk Cafe. The main issue was that Double Yolk was unable to make pancakes correctly for us, and we tried three times. The first time the pancakes were overcooked. The second two times they had raw batter inside. Pancakes should be a staple of any breakfast place like Double Yolk so this was very discouraging.

To add to the issue, I ordered these pancakes to give to my toddler son who is allergic to raw eggs but not cooked eggs. This means if he eats raw pancake batter, it could be dangerous for him, but cooked pancakes are okay. If I had given him the pancakes without checking for raw batter, he could have had an allergic reaction.

We informed the manager about the issue and fortunately she was receptive to hearing these issues and comped our meal. After receiving our third batch of inedible pancakes, we left without finishing our meal as it was a waste of time for us.

The other issue was that I ordered the "DY Bites" for breakfast, one of their specials described as "english muffin halves topped with" eggs and breakfast meat of your choice. I thought this would be an open faced sandwich similar to eggs benedict but a little different, perhaps with some sauce. What I got was two english muffin breakfast sandwiches with no sauce. It was dry and unappetizing. I was surprised they consider this one of their "specials" and the description was misleading. If it's a breakfast sandwich, call it an english muffin breakfast sandwich. I hope they take this off the menu honestly or downsize it to one sandwich along with the price.

I also noticed that on my first visit they included a carafe of coffee on the table, on my second visit they did not so it was disappointing to see the...
