Do not leave your phone here or your identity might get stolen. I took my Google Pixel in for a simple battery change. 4-hours later it still was not done. Then they finally finished but cracked the screen. Owner Cedric said ordered parts on weekend will go out on Monday, therefore phone fix would happen on Tuesday. I get there to pick up my phone and all apps missing. After questioning them, they informed me that the motherboard was also cracked. They replaces screen, battery, and motherboard, but unfortunately kept the old parts (big mistake). Two months later, I found out my identity was stolen. My social security card and drivers license image was on my phone. In my opinion, they stole my identity. These 3-things happened last week. Credit card charge for 400.00 along with some 0.00 charges (used to test the card for validity) An I-Phone was charged to my phone account and my service turn switch over to another person. My Fidelity Investment account was taken over by use of my SS Number. Two external bank accounts was attached and 21K was transferred to Goldman Sacs in New York (no place that I do business with).
I keep all my personal information very private and never give my DL or SS to anybody. However, in my opinion, having an image on my phone and UBreakIFix breaking my phone and keeping the old parts is a recipe for disaster.
I've reported this to the police and a detective will be involved. My credit is locked down so no more damage can be done. I'm 60 years old and very private. There is no doubt in my mind, that UBreakIFix in Coppell Texas is the culprit.
If you have to take your phone if for repairs, you should sanitize your phone before leaving it with any...
Read moreThis location fixed my phone's cracked screen quickly, and under coverage from my insurance. This is why they exist, and they did good job of it. The reasons why this review is one star are related to what happened after...a shocking, and likely illegal, act by management.
When picking up my phone, despite expressing that I was on an extremely tight schedule, the manager of this location made me go through an enrollment process to get a free "deep cleaning." I did not care for a free deep cleaning, but he insisted it would only take a moment. It involved me creating an account on the Asurion website, and then the option for the free cleaning didn't appear on my phone. I hope this would be the end of it, but he tried troubleshooting on his phone.
When I reiterated that I was in an incredible hurry, he switched his tactic to offering a coverage plan for my home electronics. I stated that I already have this plan through Asurion, the company that owns this location, and that I did not need another one. He put a brochure into my hands, and told me to look into it, and I left the store.
A few minutes later, every phone line on my family plan received a text message that I had purchased a home device protection plan for $25 a month.
After more than an hour on the phone with both Verizon and Asurion, I was finally able to get the plan canceled. I did not authorize it, I specifically declined it, yet the manager at this location forced it through on my account anyway. I can only assume that he is pressured by upper management to sell as many of these policies as possible, even when the customer specifically states they don't want it. This is appalling behavior, unethical at the very least, and...
Read moreDO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS!!! I dropped my phone off to get the screen repaired and they repaired the screen. When I picked up the phone, my S Pen wasn't connecting to my phone. I didn't notice this until I got the phone home. I called them and they told me that I could bring it back in and they would see what was wrong.
2 days later I was able to bring the phone back and an employee took my phone and ran some diagnostics on it. The employee said my phone was working properly. The employee asked me if the S Pen was the original one that came with the phone. I told him it was and the employee suggested I buy a brand new one in case the pen itself got damaged. I bought a new S Pen and when I inserted it into my phone, my phone still wasn't recognizing the S Pen.
I went back to have the employees look at my phone again. An employee told me it would take them about 3 hours to look into the problem. I told them I would wait because they needed to fix my phone. The employee didn't want to look into my phone because they closed in 2 hours and they said it would take 3 hours to look into the problem. I informed the employee that they gave me back the phone and my S Pen wasn't being recognized so they needed to fix the problem while I was there.
The problem with my phone was then an employee originally replaced my screen they didn't reconnect the S Pen ribbon back to the motherboard. This is ridiculous because I had to take my phone back to the store two more times after it was originally fixed. Not only that but I'm now out an additional $60 for the S Pen I didn't actually need. If you do come here plan to come back several more times to get your phone...
