Betti Stradling Park — Attraction in Coral Springs

Here on Memorial Day- they opened the gates at 9am (assuming the hours vary due to Holiday) then at 935 a worker came and shut the water off to ‘repair for five minutes’ even though everything was working fine. It’s 9:50 and I was just asking my friend why they turned it off for repair if it wasn’t broken and the worker -from behind the mesh gate- said, we aren’t even open, we don’t open until 10 god. The most RUDE individual ever. It’s already decently crowded and this guy just set the whole nasty mood for Memorial Day for about 7 families here. The new staff for parks & rec in Coral Springs seemed to have missed the class on (for lack of better verbiage at the moment) public communication. This isn’t the first rude employee we’ve come across lately. It’s a shame. No wonder so many families are leaving the city- can’t even go to a park with running across a rude worker OR the trash is...

I had no idea the people who operate this park put so much in to it. I stopped by to check it out when I was passing by. What I found blew me away, not only by the amount of love and time put in to the park but what they are doing for the kids with the classes and lessons but also for the whole skateboarding scene in the community . I met the people who are responsible for this gift for anybody who wants get in on the fun and they are super cool. I was waiting for my wallet to arrive with my friends and Paul says, here man take this board and go rip it up . No reason you should have to just sit around when you can be using my board. .... I’ve tried to go to the skatepark 3 times this week. On Monday, I called to confirm if they were open, the girl said that the people at the booth would be there at 5. I called at 5:15, and it rung for 2 minutes before I hung up and abandoned it. Wednesday, Me and a few friends looked on Google to see if it was open. It said it was, so we drove there for it not to be open. Friday I call the number the lady gave me on Monday. Rung for 2 minutes, we had someone who lives by go there to tell us the park was open from 5-6. THE SKATEPARK WAS OPEN FOR 1 HOUR!!!! I leave to go back home tomorrow, and the whole reason for bringing my bike, was to go here. Waist of time.
