Poke Bros, a fast-casual chain from Columbus, OH, recently opened a new outlet on Wiles Road in Coral Springs. This latest venture by the owners of Red Pepper Chinese Takeout offers fast, nutritious meals with an authentic Hawaiian taste.
At the heart of their menu is the Poke Bowl—a dish akin to sushi, featuring a generous portion of marinated raw tuna, soy sauce, sesame oil, and scallions, served over sushi rice with a choice of vegetable toppings and sauces, but pre-configured combinations are also available.
The restaurant primarily focuses on takeout orders, with only a few tables for dining in. We ordered the "Da Kine" bowl, which consisted of marinated sushi-grade tuna, sweet onions, seaweed salad, masago, green onions, "OG Sauce," and ponzu. This meal is rich in flavor and protein, and we thought it was a great value for its price of $14.50. The sturdy plastic bowl is transparent and sealed with a tight lid, which keeps the sauces and other components secure until needed, making it perfect for eating on the go. The counter service was fast and efficient.
Poke bowls start at $12.50 and can go up to $16, depending on the protein. Some sushi restaurants in Coral Springs offer similar-quality poke lunch specials, but they require a sit-down experience with less customization and slower service. Quick-serve restaurants like Poke Bros serve a different niche.
Poke Bros also provides extensive customization for those building their own bowl. Diners can select from various bases, such as white rice, brown rice, or salad, and add proteins, such as salmon, shrimp, chicken, spicy tuna, or tofu. In addition to a variety of sauces, the selection includes a wide array of additional ingredients—jalapeño, edamame, pineapple, and more—allowing everyone to tailor their bowl to their dietary preferences and taste.
The menu also caters to dietary restrictions with gluten-free options and clearly marked allergen warnings. With sides like Mochi Ice Cream and kid-friendly bowls, the restaurant is a great spot for family dining.
With its commitment to fresh, healthy ingredients and quick service, Poke Bros in Coral Springs stands out as a delightful addition to the local dining scene. It offers a tasty, guilt-free dining experience that blends convenience...
Read moreGet ripped off by going here. I kid you not, the owner lady walked behind the worker to tell them how much protein they should be putting and you can see that this bowl had nearly one normal bite of salmon cut into the smallest pieces ever. They WILL fill up all the cheap ingredients. Not to mention, the fish wasn't even fresh quality. Kind of almost as bad as the ones you get at chopsticks buffet. I don't understand how a new business can be so bad at making first impression. First of all, it was a new visit. The place is clean and food seems fine on display. Go use your money somewhere else if you want to have a meal that fills you up decently. I was still hungry after this and I usually don't even eat much to sustain. I'm sad that a new poke place is still just trash like crave poke as they are also cheap on giving protein where a scale was used at one point. Good luck lol might as well close shop if being stingy...
Read moreWe've been coming here for poke every couple of weeks, and it has quickly become a favorite in our rotation. The food is consistently fresh—salmon, tuna, chicken, avocado—they pay attention to the quality of their ingredients. The "finger food" nature of poke is perfect for my young sons, my picky eaters both like it here.
We primarily do take-out, but the space itself is simple and clean with a handful of tables. The servers behind the counter are kind and friendly, even during times when it's been incredibly busy and they've had to juggle a bunch of orders.
Top recommendations: their salmon, marinated tuna, and wasabi aioli. Also, splurge and get the mochi ice cream, it's not made by them but still...
