I’m going to break my review into 2 parts - staff vs parent company.|Staff - wonderful. The ladies at the counter and breakfast were so kind and helpful. 10/10 Food selection was good.|The entrance fireplace and seating area was nice. Outdoor seating was also very nice.|Our beds were not made by housekeeping in either room, unsure why only our trash was emptied but nothing else taken care of, despite the card on the bed which clearly states beds will be made each day and new towels would be left.||To the hotel owners, shame on you! First, you advertise pool and hot tub in amenities. They are closed for months for renovation. You need to update your site and do better at letting people know before booking online. Such a disappointment. |My biggest complaint is a HUGE one. Our smoke detector battery started to run low at 1:30am. It chirped every 30-60 seconds. I called the front desk and was informed there is no maintenance on site! Debby was as helpful as she could be - she found a ladder and butter knife and she climbed to the ceiling and eventually was able to pull the smoke detector down. The battery compartment was jammed shut so we agreed to have her just take the smoke detector away. |Shame on management for not staying on top of basic maintenance such as changing batteries every 6 months - those should never have been an issue. We had a very sad and emotional day with my dad’s funeral and this incident caused me to absolutely break down in exhaustion. |Why is there no maintenance on site? Anything can occur at any time in any one of those rooms, as it did that night. That should not be put on the front desk clerk to remedy. Debby shouldn’t have had to leave her desk to locate a ladder and tools and climb. Do better for your guests and your employees! |Note, there was no attempt by the hotel to provide a discount or anything to apologize for that...
Read moreI booked online at Coshocton Village Inn & Suites. The day before we were to arrive I accidentally erased the email so I called to see if another confirmation could be sent to me. I spoke to Renee so professional, & kind I felt like I was talking to my best friend. I told her I just had surgery on my hand & she really was concerned about how I was doing. At the end of our conversation she ask if I enjoy wine. I replied yes so she said she was going to put a bottle of wine in our room & I needed to relax from my surgery. When we arrived Renee’s shift had ended. We went to our room & as soon as we opened the door on the coffee table on a tray was a bottle of wine some chocolates 2 red roses 2 wine glasses & a beautiful kind note from her. Wow! she really went out for me. Our king suite was great. Renee came in to work before we checked out. I just really needed to meet her & thank her. Her smile & kindness meant so much. If I lived closer I would definitely want her as a friend. I will recommend this hotel to anyone going to Coshocton.. If anyone calls to book ask for Renee & say Helen recommend. Hotel looks like it’s just been remodeled. The hotel has a very great employee remember that employer. Renee you made our stay special & We thank you so much. Also our daughter booked here (one of our granddaughters had a volleyball tournament in Coshocton) so Renee made sure our rooms were next to each other. We will always remember your beautiful smile & kindness. Jack & Helen Chillicothe, Ohio Very clean, nice rooms, great indoor pool &...
Read moreWe checked in on 8/18/22 and plan on checking out on 8/21/22. Our stay has been really good up till this evening. There was a group that came in and were drinking and had blocked the pool area off so we told the lady at the desk. We actually asked if there was a private party in there and she said no and told them they couldn't do that. Well after that one of the lady's drinking had broke a bottle near the pool and then the pool area got closed down so we couldn't use it.Then the group decided to gather out front and drink. Then a wedding party came back to the hotel and the kids ran up and down the hallway screaming. We ended up calling the front desk and then just went outside to get away from it. We are also worried about our safety from the group drinking because of us telling front desk about the bottle being broken. Every time they see us they will stare at us. The hotel was overall good and I would have came back but now I will think twice because of the other guest. We would have left early and went home but we were under tornado warnings. In the end we were really disappointed that we weren't able to use the pool and hot tub on the last night or even enjoy our last night in our room. It would have even been nice to have been asked if there was anything that they could do to accommodate us for the hassle we went through. I only gave the hotel a 4 because it was clean and the breakfast was good . In closing I just found out that half of the drinking party wasn't even guests. I don't think they should have been allowed in...
