Lots of great ties for men. Do need to get a better selection of single men's dress socks though. There were not many neutral colors or browns. The only other complaint is that because Macy's let's their people wear whatever they want, it is typically very difficult to tell who works there and who doesn't when you're looking for help. When I was looking for a formal gown I was asking actual shoppers in the dressing room if they could help me or find help because every time I poked my head out I couldn't find anyone who looked like they worked there. They were dressed very sloppy. Why do I want to buy something from someone or ask for their opinion if they look sloppily dressed? I don't. Is it really the image you want portrayed at South Coast Plaza? I trust Nordstrom more for opinions regarding women's and shoes because of the way Macy's staff looked.
However, the Men's Department was dressed much better and wearing named tags making it easier to tell who worked there when my husband and I needed help. Steve Frankel was dressed professionally and also had very good customer service. We could immediately tell he worked there. He also made sure the ties and socks we purchased were bagged in a way that the belt we purchased would not snag them. We were extremely appreciative of that extra mile he went in...
Read moreMy first time putting a negative review. The worst customer service experience i had in my entire life was today at sunglasses department, rude and not professional. Short story we are exchanging one sunglasses (Christmas gift just tried it once never used at all) the lady came to tell me oh we don’t exchange/return sunglasses with scratch on it (I totally agree if there’s any scratch ) but our wasn’t having any scratches, so i asked her to show me where is the scratch, then she start trying (hard) to find any scratch but she couldn’t (she still saying but we can’t bla bla) I asked her i wanna talk to your manager , guess what the manager spent another 5 minutes trying to find any scratch but couldn’t, she didn’t apologize or try to show some professionalism. she just RUDLY said “oh actually no scratch you guys can exchange or return”. What a poor customer service!!! We exchange it but still feels not happy about this rude memory about a Christmas gift so I’m going Tomorrow to return it and definitely canceling...

Cashier said I need to call Manager when I asked about the ticket pricing . John Dept manager came over I explained to him about the pricing difference he said it was a mistake. I explained to John not my issue if staff either put wrong price or not. He said well I can't do anything. I asked for his boss which Allie store director came to see and I explained to her again the same she said well it ran out of ink. I asked so all 150 items marked this way staff would not see ink problem? She said can't be right pricing which I again showed her signage stating 30% or greater. I think these Managers could have made the situation better but instead they said no. Customers don't know what deals are when or pricing. If you advertise 30% or greater than honor it.
