Newport Float Therapy — Attraction in Costa Mesa

I am disappointed that I feel inclined to have to make this review. This is not a review based on the product but rather the service. Newport Float had been charging me for my membership for months meanwhile they were in lockdown with the rest of us. That was $99 a month. I tried calling them about this and their phone line was disconnected and not receiving calls. I didn’t receive an email saying things were changing nor an explanation for why I was being charged. Only up until they were reopening did they post their rates being tripled online. And still didn’t reach out to me about what they were doing. Ron (Owner) and Avi his partner had been keeping this to themselves.

When I finally confronted them about what was going on they claimed that everyone was donating to them during the lockdown which is kind of everyone else, but i’m not rich and I have chronic pain. So I needed the service and was struggling to pay what I was already paying. In essence the owners were telling me they were entitled to my money. Despite the fact I wasn’t allowed in the place for months because of the lockdown. And worse nobody ever apologized for charging me.

This is the worst customer service I’ve ever had. I was being stolen from and they tried to tell me that it was good for their business and then tried to tell me my membership would be tripled. I used to respect Ron and I still wish him the very best. But, he was the one who told me he understood my situation and my chronic pain, because he too had an issue of his own, hence the reason he started Newport Float. But, it seems greed is all this business is about. Not health. I wish the owners the best. May god bless them, but I will not lie or keep my mouth shut...

I have been to many float spas all over California and in some other states as well, and I can say without a reservation that this was my favorite flit experience so far!

From the intro video, walking in, the decor, the descriptions of the processes and technology, and just the overall “vibe” everything just struck the right chord for both myself and my partner. At the front desk, Danny was amazing with intelligence and wit and clear description of the best practices for the most fulfilling experience. I have never previously used the float lab type tanks, and admittedly they feel a little more intimidating than your “pod” types but once I stepped inside all doubts were erased. We both truly feel this is the superior float tank, the depth of water, the roominess, the absolute sensory deprivation, everything about it just felt like a step in the direction of true professional equipment. It is of course very reassuring that float lab has the best sanitation and filtration on the market and the pods just feel clean. The rooms were wonderful and the organic shampoos, soaps, conditioner, and natural lotions just makes the experience that much better. We bought the float packages and look forward to coming here a lot more A++...

We finally experienced the ephemeral & surreal pleasure of Newport Float Therapy in Mesa Verde Plaza (lots of Handicap & General parking spots) & defly gonna be a weekly routine now. We were first-timer's and our experience was absolutely incredible. The staff were competent, helpful, & genuinely friendly! Staff gave clear instructions on how to use the float tank and provided some great advice that made entire experience even more beneficial. The float tank itself was amazing: felt well-supported in the buoyant salt water and the water temperature was consistent, constant, & extremely soothing. Even though We (ok ME... lol) felt a little apprehensive at first, the acclimation was swift & pleasant. Both were quickly relaxed and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere the float tanks provide. Chill OC Vibes atmosphere, calming music, the soothing darkness, and feeling of floating in the water was just blissful.

Found extremely therapeutic cuz hav leukemia cancer & prosthetic hipS/femurS/pelvis. Every amputee should try ( ENJOY) this type of therapy! We left feeling refreshed, relaxed, & ready to schedule more appts!
