Friendly Nail Spa — Local services in Costa Mesa

I’ve been to several nail salons over the years and I never leave bad reviews I just don’t return but I need to warn people to RUN THE OTHER WAY. I’ve been getting my nails done for over 10 years. I just moved to the area and wanted to try somewhere new so I didn’t have to drive to another city where I usually get my nails done. It was hot and humid upon walking in. There was no initial greet, just a sit down here moment. Once I explained what I wanted, Vicky I believe (well that is what her station certification said) was starting to do my nails. When I told her that I had a sensitive nail and to stop drilling underneath my nail because it was hurting. She then grabbed my hand and said “just a little more,” it proceeded to hurt and then I started bleeding. Again, that happens from time to time and is usually not a big deal but she tried to hide it and throws what looks like powder on to where it was bleeding which has now caused an infection. I should of left at the moment but seeing as it was already an hour and a half to 2 hours into my appointment and I had to be to work. I was very upset and told her that I didn’t want anymore filing or drilling on my nails. She proceeds to clean under my nail with her actual finger nail until I told her to stop, I was so disgusted. Sadly, my nails actually looked decent, but I will never return due to the lack of care and cleanliness of this place. I got my nails done last week and the tech removed my necklace while massaging my neck and then put it back on me. The next morning I noticed the diamond solitaire was gone and just my letter G charm was on the chain. I went there immediately to see if it had fallen off but couldn't find it. They advised me they have security cameras but only the owner has access to the videos. I've called several times asking to speak with the owner or for them to please call me but haven't heard anything. I wear this necklace everyday and haven't taken it off EVER since I had surgery in 2019. The diamond was not worth much however it was a gift from my deceased father and has tremendous sentimental value. I can not confirm that she stole the diamond or possibly dropped it but either way I never touched it and the tech took it off me and put it back on. Very disappointed that the owner clearly doesn't care....

If I could give this place a "0" in stars I would. Worst nail salon experience I have ever had! I'm crying with how terrible my nails came out not because visually they look that bad, but because the lady who did my nails hurt me tremendously. I was cut on every finger and now they are still a day later swollen and stinging.. I'm going to have to make a trip to the doctor for an antibiotic so they don't get infected any further. I'm surprised at the service I received given the good reviews that they had.. Never again will I go to this salon and possibly might never go to another nail salon again. I want...
