Subject: Complaint Regarding Expired Food Items - Target 7025 S Park Centre Dr, Salt Lake City, UT 84121 To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to express my serious concern regarding the sale of expired food items at the Target located at 7025 S Park Centre Dr, Salt Lake City, UT 84121. Specifically, I purchased taco shells with expiration dates in April 2024 and, alarmingly, even earlier dates from 2023. This is a significant health and safety issue, particularly for customers who may have visual impairments and rely on accurate product labeling. Selling expired food items is unacceptable and represents a potential exploitation of vulnerable customers. I brought this matter to the attention of the store manager on 3/31/2025 Instead of receiving an apology or acknowledgement of the issue, the manager simply instructed an employee to remove the expired items from the shelf. This incident demonstrates a clear disregard for customer safety and a failure to address the problem adequately. I am deeply concerned that expired food items are being sold, and that repeated complaints are not being taken seriously. I request that this matter be investigated thoroughly and that immediate action be taken to: Remove all expired food items from the shelves. Implement stricter quality control measures to prevent the sale of expired products in the future. Provide staff with proper training on handling and checking expiration dates. Address the lack of appropriate customer service response from the manager involved. I expect a prompt response and confirmation of the steps taken to resolve this issue. I always love coming to this Target location over the other options in town as it is very clean, well stocked and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The reason I’m leaving a review though is because of my experience there this week.

I was in shopping for presents for my kids and I have a teenage daughter who is getting more into exploring makeup lately so I wanted to set her up with some decent makeup options to explore. The makeup section was very busy and the poor girl working there (I think her name was Patience, Precious? I can’t remember) was standing there with three other shoppers plus myself trying to help us. One of the people she was helping was grouchy and not very nice to her and she was so nice to him even though it was obvious he wasn’t going to be satisfied. Once she was done I told her my situation and she spent so much time helping me find the right stuff! She even recommended getting proper skin care products to remove makeup and to start teaching her to take care of her skin now while she’s young! I didn’t even think of that as I’m a person who uses shampoo in the shower to wash my face! I even picked up some face wash for myself based on her recommendation!

She didn’t let the jerk she tried helping right before me mess up my experience and really went above and beyond to make some really helpful ideas.

My presents for my daughter are now wrapped neatly under the tree, and I can’t wait for her to open them up! What started as a really stressful situation (buying for teens are so hard) into a wonderful experience and I have recommended this person to my friends and family. Now if only I could be sure of her...

I was disgusted, embarrassed, and ashamed of the way my family and I were treated by two lady managers. First off I had to return a few bras because they hurt my chest and my daughters as well. they dug into my skin so I took them back a day later, and was told that they've already been returned before so basically I I already returned the ones that I had bought and then went and stole some bras and was going to return them like as if I bought them. And they're very rude, characterizing, and accusing me of doing that basically. And then the employee tried to tell me that I could not return them since I already have until then I told him that can't be true because I have not returned them so then he tried doing it again and it worked which made him look like a complete idiot and the manager lady sitting next to him. And then I decided to go look around afterwards and had my wallet and receipt in my hand and I was with my daughter and husband and then I noticed that the other manager lady was watching us and she's like is there a reason you have a receipt and I told her that I just had left the customer service desk and she's at can I see the receipt please I was like are you flipping kidding me. I just felt very embarrassed very out of my safe Zone and very characterized by then I will never go back to them again I will never give them another dime of my money and I spend probably about $800 a month at Target and I will never go back to that Target again period I hope they have a lot of learning and respect to learn as employees and as just people in general.
