I've been to this location multiple times with overall positive experiences but they need to work on some things. Cafe Rio has great food. And it's pretty consistent in providing good food. I've ordered to-go as well as in person and I didn't have a great experience with the 'to-go' ordering. The to-go line can get long at times. Also, they need to have your food ready when you get there and in order to do that sometimes I think they make it a bit early. That's understandable but I don't like lukewarm food. I haven't seen attempts to keep the food warm. (like how a pizza place keeps the pizzas warm) and think they should work on that. This location is nice. It's a different layout and design than some of the other Cafe Rio locations and while it still gets just as busy, I feel lest claustrophobic in this one. I came here with a large group of friends recently. We had about 15 people in the group and so when the one large table that could accommodate the group became available, some of us sat down to make sure it was still available when everyone got through the line. I noticed it was grimey/sticky and I wanted it clean before we ate. We had a few minutes and if I'd had access to their cleaning supplies I would have been fine to come clean it myself. As this wasn't the case, I found an employee who was cleaning tables and such and asked (trying to be kind and not a jerk) if they would come clean our table. After they finished some other things they came did very little. Perhaps they thought it looked clean enough. The lack of the remnants of another person's meal being on the table does not mean it's clean. They didn't win any points that day. Finally, (And this a frequent occurrence at Cafe Rio) they need to stop treating customers like cattle being corralled. I think it's nice to order when you can stand in front of the person and tell them what you want. I don't think it's enjoyable when you're 5-10 feet down the line and they're already trying to take your order. Sure it gets them started on it before you get up there -- but it's annoying. And does it really speed things up at all? It seems like they could just help the people that are in front of them and get people through the line just as quickly (or nearly so) while providing a better experience for...
Read moreI love Cafe Rio and especially their Fire Grilled Chicken Salad, It’s always great!! The reason for the low stars is the service at this location was horrible!! It was 6:00pm and I would have thought they were just getting ready to close... There were about 8 people in line and no movement... the girl behind the window doing tortillas was moving very slow and didn’t look interested at all. She actually acted a little lost, kind of like she wasn’t sure what exactly to do. There were two guys behind the counter that we’re just kind of standing there... they finally looked at the woman in line and started her order, then they just stopped and walked away... two guys came back and asked what the order was....she repeated it and then things seemed to move again, these guys at least appeared to be interested. I finally got to order after approximately 15 to 20 minutes, which might be the longest I’ve ever had to wait, but the guy I ordered from was great. However, once it went to the next guy, we were back to “Not Interested”.... I felt like I was imposing on him. He prepared both salads the way I ordered, but literally began to scrape what little was left in the guacamole container into the scoop and then just dropped the scoop into the container, and passed the salads down to be covered, because my order was to go...I asked if I could get guacamole and he just shrugged... the next guy put covers on the salads, so I asked him if I could get guacamole and he said “Ya, I’ll get you some guacamole”, very flippantly.... the kid was mixing Pico into the new container of guacamole and scooped two individual scoops into little containers... The only person that actually looked at me through the whole order was the cashier, and she was very nice and fast... I just wanted to let someone know about my experience, as it was not consistent with the service I am used to at...
Read moreThe staff is unfriendly, unhelpful, and clearly look like they would like to be anywhere but there. After placing an online order to be ready for pick up at 445 I arrived to find that the food hadn't been prepared, despite it being five minutes past the scheduled pick up time. Then, as I patiently waited for my food, several other customers arrived to find that their orders were not ready either. As I approached over a thirty minute wait time for food that should have already been ready, I asked for an update on my food and discovered that they had apparently lost my ticket as they requested my receipt and took it to add it to the line. Once again I waited, once again I was forced to ask about my order after another fifteen minutes had passed and several other people had received their food and left. Again, I was told it'll be next, they're working on it right now. Again, another fifteen, twenty minutes past and I had to ask about my order once more. They still hadn't even started it. When I asked to speak to the manager, I was told they were "too busy" to come speak to me, after I had been waiting for over an hour. Had I not already paid, I would have left long ago but when I was perpetually reassure my food would be out in a moment, the employees made no move to ensure that I would get my food and it is absolutely absurd that the manager refused to come speak with me and that I wasn't given a refund but "could have a free dessert" after being forced to wait an hour and a half for an order that should have been ready, as online and several advertisements state, by the time I arrived. The company has not contacted me about the feedback I left and all and all their customer service is lacking and I do not recommend that anyone eats here unless they're prepared for bad service, sub-par food, and...
