We hit the bluffs to check out the Lewis and Clark Park, what a view! Worth the short ride and walk. Ok back on topic, after the walk it was time for an afternoon coffee. Quick google, the Coffee Cabin was first! Ahead of a couple big chains, how awesome is that?? Loved it. We were there. It’s a nice spot, with a drive through. That’s nice, but we went in, a nice clean business, a fellow customer opened the door, great greeting. That’s what life is about, nice interactions, I think Lee was his name. The shop was all nice and shiny, top shelf gear. The ladies were quick to serve. We went regular coffee and a latte. Plenty of flavor options, I went straight latte. No flavor, but that vanilla. Couple of danishes as well. Very good, that muffin real good. I had a strawberry danish, should have heated it. On me. Sat outside and after a second Sherry came out to check on us. Found she was the owner of the 38 day old business!! To start a business these days, awesome. To be in direct competition with some big names and to kick their butts!! How cool is that?? Stop in say hi to Sherry! Maybe Lee will be there.

The owner was very nice. The atmosphere when we were there was very chaotic, though. The owner was babysitting her granddaughters, and the youngest kept going behind the counter, stealing some of the coffee beans in containers. The owner was apologetic multiple times. The drinks were delicious. The Latte was delicious. The blended drink was not as flavorful as expected, like there was too much ice, the ice wasn't blended enough, or there wasn't enough cream. Either way, the Latte was much better than the blended drink.

I was blown away by my experience here. The owner creates all her own recipes and is very personable. She puts her heart into the whole business. The first sip was an experience in flavor and exquisitely smooth. They actually know how to make a proper espresso unlike many others in the area. The pressure and quantity of beans is perfectly dialed in. I highly recommend The Coffee Cabin for their quality of product, service, and exceptional value for their products.

UPDATE: owner's passive-aggressive response has led me to downgrade the stars and respond.

I did come for coffee, but when I saw bubble tea, I thought to try it, not because I've never tried it (grew up in Asia) but because I didn't expect bubble tea in CB and wanted to try it.

It was not made by your employee who "was still learning the drinks" it was a guy who forgot one of the ingredients and instead of making a new one just dropped some of it by for me to add in myself. It was poorly blended and I had to stir it myself pretty vigorously to make sure everything was dissolved.

it's not about "friendly people who talk" I'm all about friendly conversation it's supposed to be a cafe...but this was two employees engaging in shop talk...about YOU, the owner. That's simply unprofessional. If they were talking about the weather or school or anything else why would I resent that? It was endless talk about their work in front of a customer who was reading a book...no situational awareness.

and the last comment, lady...why do you think I came to your place? I drove 5-10 minutes off the freeway (headed to MN) to a place that had good ratings on google, and because I wanted to support a local place. I then left some honest feedback and someone couldn't take it well and instead shot the messenger. Congrats!

Not entirely sure what to make of this place. Had thought to just grab a coffee and do a bit of reading before getting back on the road. Ended up getting some dragonfruit bubble tea that was just okay. The thing about the bubble tea fad is that everyone is trying to get in on it, and maybe in CB you can get away with it being very average...

Compensated by the fact that the staff are friendly, though they are happy to keep conversing in the background so that if you had hoped to do some reading while there, you might need to opt outside if the weather is nice or choose a...

Longfellow elementary school PTO purchased a $500 gift card and the owner agreed to come to the school in a coffee trailer and serve the staff drinks for teacher appreciation week. The owner cancelled at the last minute and then reschedule and cancelled again. We had to find a reliable coffee person at the last minute since it was the end of the school year. The owner has refunded $120 and still owes $380. The owner agreed to pay the $380 at the beginning of September 2025 and still has not paid. The Coffee Cabins Facebook post from 1/8/2025 states, "I had a coffee trailer built...I am supposed to get it tomorrow. I will be open for business next week sometime...I'll post pic's tomorrow, when I pick it up." The next day no pic's posted or explanation of the coffee trailer status. Facebook post on 1/12/2025 gift cards are being sold and the post states, "All earnings are going to my coffee trailer to get ready for business next week." Then 4/9/2025 post states, "Looking for a new trailer but for now I can take orders and deliver it to you." A second post on 4/9/2025 states, "Got taken advantage of for this one...after all the money I paid, I never did get it...and still waiting for my money back." Longfellow PTO is still waiting for the rest of our money back and the owner has moved to a new location and deleted our Facebook posts regarding our experience with The...
