First off, id like to note, the only reason this place has even recieved 1 star is because that is the lowest option available. Secondly id like to note, the entire staff (excluding the security gaurd who is a very nice man by the way) spent more time harrassing me and making me cry than actually helping me, and help me they did not. It started when i came in today at around 5 AM, for what i believe is food poisoning as ive had it before. I also have IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) so believe me when i say i know stomach issues pretty well. Well evidently that doesnt mean anything here. As i came through the door i immediately grab the nearest trash can and just start unloading what was mostly water and bile because water was the only thing i could keep down. After puking my brains out for the hundredth time, a nurse comes out with a wheel chair and with his voice raised tells me to stand up and get in the chair. I say i have been puking, am now violently dehydrated, and asked for help getting in the chair. The man very angrily stated he was not helping me, as i didnt need help because i "walked in here, right?" after him shouting at me literally 20 different times (and i know this establishment has cameras, so if youre part of the staff there and reading this, go watch the video. I dare you) to get in the chair im already deep in to an anxiety attack in full tears begging this man to stop yelling at me and just help me. I ask for another nurse as he seemed to be above helping me, because why should he have to do his job?? Right?? So as another nurse comes in he retreats back where he came from spewing some bull about "if he walked in here he can get in the chair" or something along those lines, couldnt really hear him over my panic attack. Anyways im helped to my room by the new nurse who tried his hardest to remain professional but it was quite clear right off the bat i was just going to be one of those "lets make this quick and get him out of here" patients. The real fun starts when the doctor comes in. A shorter asian man around 40 i believe. Now, incase i wasnt clear enough beforehand, i do have crippling anxiety, ive spent years in therapy for it amongst other things. THIS MAN DID NOT CARE. As he starts telling me what hes going to do (bloodwork, CT scan) i inform him i was in this department just a week ago for my IBS. Hes immediately outraged and is accusing me of questioning his knowledge in the medical field. I explicitly state im not, i just dont have the money to pay for all these tests that are unnecessary because we just did them last week and everything was normal and that i was almost 99% sure i have food poisoning (refer to top, i know food poisoning very well haha i travel a lot) and the man is at this point basically yelling at me in my room while im half naked balling my eyes out. Then this is what really set me off, this "doctor" tried to scare me in to thinking if i left against his medical advice that id be charged $40,000 for leaving. Knowing thats bullshit, and even if its not, im sure ill be just dandy taking that to court, i again request that i leave. The doctor at this point is throwing everything he has at me "so youre questioning my medical knowledge?" "so you dont mind a 40,000 bill?" "youre just scared were gonna find out youve been doing drugs (also i work in a recreational marijuana store, im not worried about anyone finding anything in my system)etc. And also one of my favorite lines he said was that he should do a ct scan on me again because the last one couldve missed something. Now keep in my mind none of the staff i was dealing with at this point in time were here on my last visit for my IBS. Which i will add went fairly smooth. Another fun fact, i was told by the CT tech that the machine they use is one of the newest and best ones. So why even do it again? Also he discharged me with the same meds i get for IBS. Next time do your job. Im not a paycheck,...
Read moreUpdate: I went to my normal Dr after this and she confirmed I had anemia, which the ER doctor dismissed (it showed up in my blood tests at the ER and even after I asked the ER dr about it, he said it was "still within normal range". It was literally below normal.) The anemia was causing rapid heart rate, shortness of breath, extreme fatigue, and feeling like I was going to pass out at times. The anemia was being caused by Adenomyosis, which was recently diagnosed via ultrasound. I had to wait months to have this figured out and it was only thanks to my personal doctor. This ER is a JOKE and can't even manage to diagnose anemia.
Oct. 2023: I came here last night after having a bunch of concerning symptoms for the last two weeks. The nurses were great, especially the intake/triage nurse. He was very kind and explained things very thoroughly for me (like how after 10 pm, they only have one doctor). The doctor however was very dismissive of my symptoms. After I explained most of my symptoms, he asked me which of my symptoms it was that made me decide to come into the ER. I'm not sure why shortness of breath and abdominal pain (among other concerning symptoms) wasn't enough to warrant a visit to the ER. This was only the third time I've ever been to an ER in my life... I wouldn't come here for something insignificant. I was hoping I could have some imaging done of my chest and abdomen at the very least and he wouldn't order any imaging tests. So I was sent home with absolutely no answers. One of the nurses told me, "that's unfortunately what happens to most people who come in". So unless you're actively dying, don't bother going to the ER. (I went to urgent care 2 days later and they told me I would need to be seen by ER because I would need to have ultrasound done, which they don't have).
Also, the room I was brought into had a camera in it that I didn't notice and they make everyone change into a gown "in case" they need imaging done. There was a sign on the wall that said the room may be recorded, but no one actually notified me. Thankfully I changed discreetly before noticing the sign. This feels creepy and predatory to have in a...
Read moreThis rating is based on my interactions with the clearly over paid receptionist whom stands as a first point of client interaction. I checked in online and got here on time. Receptionist both ignored my presence when i came in and seeing as i had not visited this UC before i sat down and waited. There are three reception area desks and so i walked over to check the other in order to see if anyone was there to receive me. It was closed. I turned and walked back to my chair when an elderly white man walked in. This was nearly 5 minutes after I arrived. They greeted this man with no issues and then myself afterwards. I was asked my name and told to "sit" by a very rude woman named Michelle. While turning around a much more pleasant Robertta whom sits next to her say "excuse me ma'am are you trying to check in?" my response..." yes maam Ann's i already signed in online 30 mins ago" this is when the very irritating Michelle chose to become condescending. "I already wrote her name down, ma'am have a seat until your called" Roberta then replies "well i can check you in right now, have a seat here.." this Michelle scoffs and walks off. After speaking to a nurse i inquired about the receptionist names. Apparently Michelle overheard us speaking because she went from stationary standing to following behind myself and the nurse while we walked down the hall. She made sure to make condescending comments in regards to her behaviors even though it was clear i was not speaking with her but to the Nurse in front of me (who magically couldn't recall her coworkers names. We got safely into the room and the Nurse Katie, profusely apologized. Clearly my nurse relayed the message to the clinic manager Jasmine. Jasmine was extremely empathetic and receptive to my concerns and also apologized for the lack of customer service experienced. The rest of my visit went...
