Look, I love Chick Fil A, I love the hospitality, and I love the food.... until this last experience. The date was 5/3/18 approximately 7:30 PM. We parked at the Wall Mart across the way due to parking. As we crossed the street, an officer was parked on the main road (Will be relevant). I must admit, it was pretty packed. I saw a nice elderly lady standing behind a counter as you walk in. I asked “are you in line”? She shook her head and just stared on. I ordered our food which was 1 chicken sandwich meal, and two extra sandwiches to go. Our order came out to 18 and some change. The young girl asked if we wanted dine in or take out. My wife being a type 1 diabetic and pregnant, thought it would be best to get take out and eat the food in the car. After about 10 minutes, my wife was getting nauseated from the commotion and decided to wait outside by the door (order was in her name). When we ordered, I noticed we did not have a receipt so I ran back to the counter while our order was fresh in her head. She assured me one was not nessessary. I still did not feel confident as other people had blue cups so I asked a tall blonde wait staff. He said the blue cups were for dine in and we would be ok. As I was standing in this crowd, the elderly lady started talking to me and we thought it was odd that our names were not called. As we were speaking, we overheard that a burner went out. This made me a bit more patient as I know business and gave them the benefit of the doubt. After about 45 minutes and my wife bombing me with text messages (Will keep them as an account), I tried to go up to the take out counter but I was being ignored (the officer was behind me watching this go down). Finally I raised my voice as polite as possible to get a Managers attention. I explained to her what was transpiring with customers not getting their orders as I pointed to my wife outside and the elderly lady. She asked me whose name was the order in, I pointed outside to my wife again and explained her current state being pregnant and a type 1 diabetic. The lady went into the kitchen part and spoke with her workers and then marched outside and started interrogating my wife about the order and why we don’t have a receipt! We waited another 10-12 minutes and I went back inside to the elderly woman and warned her as she had no reciept either. There were actually others as well waiting. I noticed they were giving gift cards to lengthy orders yet they completely dropped the ball and interrogated us! My wife got a glass of water... while we waited outside in the dark. This review better stay on this page until we are able to sit down with the owner of the establishment or this story will go to the newspapers. I know the cop had us walking in on his dash cam and it’s on their security footage of us ordering the food. This was the absolute most embarrassing dining experience I have ever had and my wife was humiliated, embarrassed, and ended up having a sugar low (reason we went there in the first place). Give me a contact number and we will talk. I at the very least expect an...
Read moreProbably the nicest people i've ever seen in a fast food restaurant are working here this morning. It was a pleasant change to actually have respect and kindness given to me at a place a business. I really enjoyed the writing also on their bags for a takeout order, " Tis the season for sharing kindness."
I'm so glad that we have people in the service industry and restaurants, especially that celebrate Christmas, celebrate America and went to be kind to others.
Happy December! I absolutely LOVE Christmas time! This is a time we can celebrate our Savior and all he has done for us! Let us focus on the true meaning of Christmas!
Light the World begins today! One of the pictures is a list of 50 ways we can spread Christ's light this season! I invite you to choose one thing off this list! Share your experience in the comments!
Today is a blessing from the Lord Jesus. What will we do today that can reflect our appreciation of having another day to do anything we desire? Will we walk in the park and take in God's beautiful creation of nature? Perhaps most of us will go to work wherein we can be of a cheery mood and smile at our co-workers and be thankful for having a job to go to. In all choices we make today remember to say "I Love YOU" to those that you care for. Your spouse, children, family, friends; saying those three magical words lets others know how you feel. It's never to late to say I love you.
I try to listen closely to the words of people who are about to move on to the next life.
Some of the most impactful worlds I've ever heard were from a man named Joseph Wirthlin just before he passed.
He said these words while nearing the end of his life:
"Kindness is the essence of greatness and the fundamental characteristic of the noblest men and women I have known. Kindness is a passport that opens doors and fashions friends. It softens hearts and molds relationships that can last lifetimes.
The things you say, the tone of your voice, the anger or calm of your words—these things are noticed.
Nothing exposes our true selves more than how we treat one another...
I often wonder why some feel they must be critical of others. It gets in their blood, I suppose, and it becomes so natural they often don’t even think about it.
They seem to criticize everyone—
Even when we think we are doing no harm by our critical remarks, consequences often follow.
Each one of us will travel a different road during this life. Each progresses at a different rate.
Never look down on those who are less perfect than you.
Kind words not only lift others spirits in the moment they are given, but they can linger with them over the years."
There is no better business strategy, no better family strategy, no better human strategy......
Read moreI need to revise my 5 star review down to a 1 star. I love me some chick-fil-a, and honestly, I loved this location. However, in the past 2 years, the quality of this restaurant has gone from good to really poor.
I used to be able to get all of my food, utensils and good taste, however lately, I've been having issues with almost every order I place. I can remember in the past maybe 10 orders, 5 of them having problems from either no utensils, to wrong items, missing items, cold items, fries with very little/no salt, fries that are cold, fries that have a very odd taste to them sandwiches that look like they've been sitting out and getting soggy, wrong sizes of fries and drinks. I'm almost guaranteed to get 1 of these things to happen every time I order.
Finally I put in a formal complaint via the app/website and got a simple "Hey, we're sorry about your order, here's a free item on us" response. While this was great, I didn't want an item on us, I really just wanted a refund on the item in question because the item(s) that they were giving me are things that myself or family don't eat much of.
I had another issue happen again, even put in the request that I do not want a 'free item' canned response from their owner Marc, but you can guess what I got in my inbox in a few days. I just wanted to talk to someone who actually cared about the problems they are having, but instead I end up with a robotic response. This sucks from a customer service perspective.
Hi Brian, The Chick-fil-A CARES Team has shared your recent feedback with us at 272nd at Wax. We want our customers to have a great experience on every visit, but it sounds like that didn’t happen this time. We know we can’t undo what happened, but we’d love another chance to get it right.
We welcome you to visit our restaurant and enjoy the menu item pictured below – on us. It would be our pleasure to serve you again.
We appreciate you sharing your comments with us, and hope you’ll see it making a difference on your next visit.
All the best, Marc Schuh 272nd at Wax
-- So my thoughts on this are, if you want a 50/50 chance on something in your order being messed up with a 50/50 chance with the food quality being sub-par, then this is the place to go. If you're looking for good chick-fil-a or food, I'd find another place or hit up McDonalds across the street.
This saga continues in another normal ordering experience. Food that ordered and not added to the bag, kids upset that they didn't get what they asked for when trying to sort out dinner time. This store has gone down hill over the past few years and I'm tempted to no longer head here anymore due to how frequent mess ups...
