My friend and I bought tickets two weeks in advance for a pottery class here. We were very excited to go and unfortunately, at 3:30 on the day of (3.5 Hours before our appointment) we received a call from our friend whose son tested positive for Covid. We were in contact with them the day before. We went on the website and noticed that it was nonrefundable, but want to be responsible and not spread covid, so I called. The woman on the phone put me on hold for a few minutes and came back and said “ I am emailing the owner to give you a call back to see if we can either give you a credit to the studio or schedule you for another class”.
I just received a call from the owner stating that she will not reschedule our class and we loose all of our money. I tried explaining that I called 2 1/2 hours ago and if I were aware of that when I called, I would have tried to give the tickets away. I am really sad that while we are all trying our best in the middle of a pandemic that a business would act in such poor faith. I am very surprised that they rather their customers come to their class after being in...
Read moreI have had other great experiences here like pottery classes and taking my daughter for multiple rainy days. The last time I went with a group of mom friends, the staff wrote my phone number wrong (which was admitted to), so we never got a phone call to pick up the fired pieces. The manager told me it "wasn't their responsibility" and I "should have called sooner". As a local business owner, and a busy mom we all know how time flies and was foolish to trust this business to do its job. While human error is nature, the manager had every moment to make it right. This is 100% not the way to speak to people. In this economy we should be thankful for the frequent consumer and spreading good vibes about a small businesses, because I find it so important to keep us (small business) all alive. Also, what does it cost to have my 5 year old and her friend make another piece, while I created a plate and lost out on a $120 order. With other same concept places popping up, I am very excited to try them out and happily spend...
Read moreWe had a wonderful time painting, listening to music and creating great memories and art pieces. The negatives were that there was no enforcement of child supervision by parents/guardians, which diminished the experience; when you reserve online, you pay $10 to reserve the table and an additional purchase of the item you want. Some of the items, such as a mug, can cost $30-$35!! I understand you're paying for the item, the cost of paint, curing, use of the kilm, staff and supplies, but $70 for 2 mugs and $10 for the table? Getting staff attention can be difficult; they don't have a wide variety of paint color options; brushes are worn and missing bristles. Great experience but will patronize another establishment. Also, takes one week minimum to receive your...
