So disappointed in how Garden City recently handled a coworker/friend of mines incident that took place in the parking lot here. On Saturday, June 1st, 2024, between 12 PM and 3 PM, my coworkers parked car was severely damaged by one of the landscaping trucks contracted by the center. My coworkers and I witnessed how poorly the landscaping company was driving and parking their trucks in the parking lot. This made it difficult for our guests and other patrons to use the parking lot. When my coworker and I returned to her car after our shift, we found it had been hit so hard that there was a hole above the driver’s side break light, and it had been shifted within the parking space. The damage clearly matched the red paint and height of the landscaping truck that was parked behind her earlier. Despite this clear evidence and the urgency of the situation, Garden City Center has been unresponsive to her emails and phone calls. They have not reached out to her at all regarding the situation.
She have filed a police report regarding this incident. She is a working student, and cannot afford the repairs for damages that were not caused by her. She needs Garden City Center to provide the contact information for their landscaping contractor and access to the security camera footage that can confirm the details of the incident as soon as possible.
It is unacceptable for Garden City Center to ignore this issue and withhold critical information that would help resolve it.This lack of communication and consideration is extremely unprofessional. I hope this public review prompts a more cooperative response, as this matter requires immediate attention...

I have filed a police report regarding this incident, underscoring its seriousness. As a working student, I cannot afford the repairs for damages that are not my fault. Read moreGarden City used to be an amazing place to shop for middle class families. It is now becoming a high end center. The management company is telling regular stores that they are not high end enough to be there and replacing them with boutique stores. For example, they recently told Carter's they would no longer be able to have a store front because they are "not high end enough." The management company is replacing them with a boutique children's store with much higher prices. Garden City center used to be for everyone, but is very much becoming a shopping center for only those with deep pockets. Bring back the days of a shopping center that was accessible to all families. With the economy we have now, most families can't afford the high end shops. I recently asked a Vineyard Vines associate how they were doing with sales - "Not what we expected at all, people don't have the money in this economy." Garden City residents and the surrounding areas are mostly middle class families. The shopping center would do much better to cater to these families, than continuing to pursue the high end retails stores they continue to place in the center. It's a cute center to walk around and get your steps each day in a safe place. Newport Creamery is also a staple and an affordable place for the whole family. As for shopping, it's not a place for the...
