Ben & Jerry’s — Restaurant in Cranston

Was excited to go in and get an ice cream around 9pm Thursday night. Extremely shocked when it was my turn and the old white lady working was just staring at me and didn’t say a word… I proceeded to say my order then she kept hitting me with smart remarks… like when I pointed for the chocolate bowl and asked if I can please have one she answered me with “you mean the waffle” in a disgusted face. Then when she asked what flavor, I told her “cookies and cream please” then she said “you mean sweet cream and cookies” literally staring at me like If i was stupid I swear. Had a really bad attitude then said “it’s gonna be a while I’m the only one working “ no need to be rude about it tho. I completely understand the other reviews about not feeling welcomed. Same here my first time. Then Ben protested and that motivated me to return & give it a 2nd try. Since I did not get the persons name I will be as specific as I can - today June 6th between 1-2p - I had the best customer service I’ve had in awhile. They had a ponytail and wore glasses & were very delightful. The way they interacted both with just myself but my child. And not just us. The customer service was consistent with every single person who entered or was sitting eating. It felt very personal & reminiscent of going to your local mom & pop ice cream stand. It’s people like them that make small moments like this...

Our first time coming in during the early evening we felt unwelcome and rushed. We decided to give it a second go and wanted a late night snack when we entered at first we were ignored. Then once we ordered one girl cleaning was told she had to make cookies, she rolled her eyes and started, not throwing, but being rough with the tray. We felt like we had to apologize for being there and I tipped as I felt guilty for taking their time. The second visit was around 9:30pm. Will not be...
