Consolidated Ace Hdwe & Sply Inc — Attraction in Crestview

It was my first time at this store and I was in shock at how the first cashier treated me. I had to return my initial purchase and the second cashier today was wonderful but my first cashier was incredibly rude. During my initial visit I went to the checkout with two screws, she asked me how much they were. I’ve never had to buy loose screws before, I usually buy packs of screws. I didn’t realize that I needed to glance at the price of them I just thought maybe they needed to know the type and size of the screws. When I said I wasn’t sure, she said what I said back to me in a weirdly mocking tone as if I was “slow”. I was shocked and embarrassed so I grabbed the screws and went back to find the price of them. I came back and checked out quietly with the same cashier because I was still shocked and embarrassed and she was the only cashier that was available. The second time I came in about thirty minutes later, I got the screws I needed to exchange and waited around the battery section near the front until the first cashier left before I even walked over to checkout because I didn’t want to checkout with the...

My husband went in around 8 Am to have our water tested. He says good morning to the older lady at the desk - no response. He tells her that needs help, she says I called water testing rudely. The gentleman who tested the water was amazing. He goes back around to the desk, the older lady is happy & smiling with the customer before him but when he steps up, she goes back to her rude self. He tried to greet her, nothing except "do you have an account with us"?. He tells her have a nice day, she says nothing. We are canceling our account with Ace due to the poor customer service at check out. We have spent alot of money at this location since moving here, but I'm tired of the rudeness at check out. Clean, stocked, and extremely helpful staff. I came in for a paint matches for a few little cans, I was helped out and actually shown which paint was better for the particular application I was using them for... I was also searching for something extremely specific, something come to find out, they do not carry, however, the staff member took time to find where I could go and get what I needed to finish off my project!! He didn't have to do that, but it shows they he actually cared about my needs, even if it wasn't buying said item from them!! THAT is customer service!!
