Water's Edge Adventures: Paddleboard and Kayak Tours and Rentals — Attraction in Crystal River

What a fantastic experience on Crystal River! Scottie and Lena were very personable, almost like family in the way they related and took care of us. I was able to make reservations for the kayaks on the phone after searching their easy-to-navigate website. I could have registered online, but I had a few questions for them, and my questions were answered clearly, with additional information that made us decide to go to them with our business. We met Scottie at the launch site and he was there before our meeting time having all set up for us when we arrived. He gave us important information about where to find and view manatees and how to get to Three Sisters Springs while paddling on the river. We found many manatees where he said, and we were able to paddle and swim while getting some awesome photos of the experience. From there, we paddled to the Springs, and had such a wonderful time swimming and snorkeling between the three springs. The water was breathtakingly clear and exhilarating to the senses. When we left the springs, we even saw a dolphin frolicking down the back waterways or channels. We ended up getting back a little early from our 4 hour half-day paddle, so I texted Scottie who was there within 3 minutes of contacting him. He took care of everything from there, and sent us on our way with a memory and experience that will forever be one of our favorite of all time. 5 OUT OF 5 STARS! BEST FAMILY VACATION EVER! OH MY GOSH, where do I even BEGIN?! Lena and Scotty at Water’s Edge Adventures are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! From the very first phone call, they were SO professional, SO friendly, and you could just tell they LOVE what they do! They're the REAL DEAL! My kids (13 and 11) and my husband had NEVER seen manatees, and Scotty made it happen! We had the most GORGEOUS morning kayak ride, and Scotty gave us all the insider tips! We were surrounded by manatees! It was the COOLEST thing EVER! And the water? BEYOND beautiful! Then, in the afternoon, we went fishing with Captain Scotty and Lena on their boat! FREAKING AWESOME!!! You could tell Scotty LOVES to fish! Every time someone caught something, he was just as excited as we were! The kids caught TONS of fish, a SHARK, a CRAB, (and maybe a little seaweed, haha!) We saw DOLPHINS, MANATEES, BIRDS, EVERYTHING! And we even got to see a shuttle launch!!! How COOL is that?! And the SUNSET?! Forget about it! Absolutely BREATHTAKING! Then, we went back in, and Lena COOKED the fish we caught! Let me tell you, she can COOK! It was the most delicious meal! This was an experience we will NEVER forget! We are 110% coming back! We were really worried about booking a charter and getting stuck on a boat with people we couldn't stand... but that was not the case..

If anyone is looking for a scalloping charter this is the place to go! We made the reservations the night before and thankfully they had an opening! The communication skills were awesome! We showed up.. Captian Scotty and Lena had everything set up and ready for us. We loaded the boat and they took us right where the scalloping was! There was 6 of us plus the 2 of them! Captain Scotty was amazing with my Autistic son and snorkeled with him showing him where the scallops were and how to dive down to get them! Lena was equally as awesome with all of us helping get our fins, masks and snorkel gear all set up! They provided snacks on the boat and it was some of the best fruit we've ever had! We couldn't go fishing since the weather wasn't going to allow it but we will definitely be a repeat customer and go on one of their fishing charters! Great people all around and amazing day on the water!
