This is a great mini hike. It's so beautiful and peaceful. Lots of trees, weeds, flowers, fennel and etc.... Beautiful butterflies and these black hair caterpillars.
Never crowded or cluttered with work out junkies. I rarely see anyone walk the path when I walk it. It's a bit scary though because it's so secluded. Take a stick just in case something jumps out at you. JUST KIDDING
I like to walk the trail just before sunset. If you go up the Valley Ridge hill you will get to see the sunset. Warning that hill is a beast. My car even has to take a break half way up.
The end of the trail will lead you to a park if you go up the stairs. The park with give you a great view of the city.

Read moreThis trail is okay. Has a ton of gopher holes everywhere so it's really rocky and unstable, especially for being on a cliff. I did not like that the trail was right on the blvd - not very relaxing to listen to thousands of cars speeding by while you're trying to be one with nature lol. Also, you have to cross the street at the top of the hill (near to the parking structure) to get to a park bathroom. Read moreIt's a cool looking hike, and it's more of a workout than you would expect. Other than being right on top of La Cienega its beautiful. I had my dog with me. Halfway into the hike I started to notice that there were several dead mice, rats, and a gopher. After the 5th dead animal I saw I turned around and left because I didn't want my dog exposed to anything bad. I'm not sure what was going on, and I hope it's not poison--to protect the Hawks foxes and other Wildlife that might eat...
