I've got to say this is quite a nice little park. The photos I saw on Google maps show the place in the summer and I visited in mid January. However most of the grass was still green and even a few of the large old trees lining the park had leaves on them. And as a bonus somebody had planted cute pretty little flowers in the planters surrounding the pavilion.
The park is only maybe a hundred yards square, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in features. To me a park isn'y much of a park without a lot of trees, and this place has plenty of them. The twisting trunks and branches look cool even in the winter. There's a nice brick walkway which comes from the four corners of the park meeting in a circle in the middle where the pavilion is. There are benches all over and even a couple of picnic tables with benches. Trash receptacles, a water fountain, a kiddie playground - and did I mention a pavillion? Love this place and I can't wait to see it when the weather warms up.
EDIT I returned to this park in mid April and the transformation was amazing. Tons of greenery, dappled sunlight, the trees gently dancing in the breeze. A wonderful feeling of peace, despite the distant roar of traffic. Really...
