Another Yelp Event, which did not disappoint. I first thought it was a VR interaction game but I was wrong. That's what happens when you don't read what it is exactly and assume what you want to be lol. This is an immersive game, where parties of 2 to 6 people goes into a square room where the walls are like tv screens and you were these visor that has sensors that will pinpoint your position on the wall and use the room to move up, down, left, right to accomplish goals. We played a version of Squid Games (Netflix). So we had the stop and go with the creepy doll, honey cookie with a needle, marble game, tag game and rope war game and the bridge jump on glass tile game and then a memory type of game. The system uses sort of a gps tag from your visor and you see your color and project it onto the wall so you can see your position related to the game. Most game were fun to play but then again you need fun teammates or it can get nasty. Also you may bump into each other since some of the games makes it as a duo and you are so focused on the wall that you forget your teammates, which it happened to me and I knocked my teammate down by mistake lol. I wish the gps sensor was a bit more accurate, which would make the experience even more fun. Because you get score, you can get competitive against other groups and stuff which is always fun.

Recently came here with my two daughters, 10 & 7 (for my youngest birthday). We pre-paid for the 90-minutes without selecting games because we wanted to pick something when we got there. The front desk guy was super nice and knowledgeable. For it being a Saturday afternoon, it was pretty quiet and chill. Not too busy. Oh! BTW, parking is free on the street until 6pm. Anyways, great atmosphere, nice staff, cool private room to share with your guests. Overall, I will say I thought it was a Virtual Reality (VR) type of setting but it’s not. It is solely an immersive experience, with sensors and projections on the three walls around you. It was still very neat! The first game was a bit too challenging for my 7 yo, so she tapped out and just watched but it was suggested for 12+, so it made sense. She really enjoyed the Alien Aptitude Test game. That was 8+. Overall, for the price I would say it’s worth it but an hour is all that’s needed for younger kids. I am interested in the summer deal for next year!! Oh! The only con from the experience was it got really hot in that private room. The AC wasn’t working well but the staff member accommodated us and all was good!

What a fun experience, perfect for date night. Parking was hard to find, but we found a paid lot. We walked in and were greeted by Brianna. She was very helpful in helping out us first-timers. We checked in on Yelp and got a coupon for our game. We booked online ahead of time which was easy. They even offered a student discount, which we appreciated. We played just the two of us, but could have up to 6 I believe.

We signed our waivers and began playing Psychedelic Mansion. Brianna showed us to our room, explained the game verbally, and gave us some pointers on certain mini-games. She shared that this game was her favorite. We began playing and immediately had so much fun on this collab game. There are 4 or 5 different mini-games that have various levels of difficulty. Our favorite was Word, where you have to spell out words to disarm bombs. Each mini-game was about 3-4 minutes long and then you switch, and I liked that method.

The room has A/C but we naturally got a little warm from the workout. Wish I hadn't worn jeans. They have breaks in the game where you can order drinks to be delivered mid-game. They have a small selection of canned alcohol. We finished our game at the one-hour time limit and ranked pretty highly for the week.

We had so much fun that we played again! We booked their Squid Games game. This was also a collaboration game, but a little different in timing. It was 6 different games that we played for 10 minutes each, one after another without returning to a previous game. Somehow I ended up being better at this game than my husband, something about the balance and timing, haha.

At the end of each game, you get to create a GIF and it'll show on the leaderboards and get emailed to you. It's fun to create, but it doesn't create the GIF in the actual time it says it does. It gives a 5-second count down to dance or move, but we had to retake our GIFs because it only captured the last 1 or 2 seconds. Odd.

The walls of the room are easy enough to manage and play. You wear this visor that should be tight enough to not fall off but also rather uncomfy to wear for two hours (one game per hour). The visor communicates with the walls, and it was supposed to be very reactive to touch, but I had a harder time than my husband getting the walls to recognize my touch, and I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. We thought it was my ring, but that theory proved false. Luckily the Squid Games game wasn't heavy on touching the walls at all, just tracking motion.

My husband had a purple spot on his forehead from the visor that eventually went away. I probably couldn't have played a third game without taking a larger break just to let my forehead rest. I would imagine little kids complaining about that or even people with sensitive skin. I don't know the ins and outs of the visor, but there are just two protrusions underneath the cushion that just hurt to wear over time.

Overall I would definitely be back to play again, but this time in shorts! And if possible I'd bring my own water bottle. It seemed as if we played the two most challenging games, so we'd keep an eye out for new ones to be released. Wish we had one...

My wife and I and another couple during our recent vacation to Dallas decided to try Immersive Game box. I called ahead and spoke to the General Manager to get an idea of how this works because my wife and the wife of the other couple who has MS, has some medical issues and wanted to make sure that this was going to be ok for us to do. After being reassured he suggested the most appropriate game for us. We were excited to try it and concept seemed like it would be so much fun. When we arrive there was one person working and he brought us into the room. Told us to put on the headsets and that there would be someone coming over the speaker to explain everything. The game starts and the volume is very loud and we have no idea what we are doing. We press the button several times to try and get the staff person to come in. But after several attempts we had to go out of the room and call him. No one else was in the place. So he was not assisting anyone else. We asked him how e turn down the volume and asked him how we play this game because there was little to no instruction. He gave us a cryptic answer and it felt like this person had no interest of helping us nor did it seem like he cared if we were there or not. We carried on and eventually we did figure out how to play on our own. We still could not get the volume down. It was hot in the room and we were going to ask that the person turn up the air but decided that our time was moving along and it was not worth trying to get the persons attention. Toward the end of the time, with about 15 minutes left the husband of the other couple needed to help his wife out of the room because it was just too hot for her and between that the noise level, she decided that she would go out and sit and get some air while we finished the game. As he helped her sit outside in the main room, the staff person absolutely ignored her. Did not ask if she was ok. Did not ask if she wanted anything to drink. Nothing. We finished up the game and we left. I will say that if there was a staff person who had helped us understand how to play the game when we first arrived. Who was more attentive and could have turned up the air for us the experience would have been much more enjoyable. It is a very cool concept. And I understand that these days you can’t seem to find anyone under the age of 40 who wants to work. But this type of unique experience needs much more involvement from the person who is getting paid to work there. He could easily see that we were older and should have made sure we knew what we were doing. It was obvious to us that anything more than showing us to the room was more than he...
