DFW Fabric Mart, Inc(Petra's Fabrics) — Attraction in Dallas

This is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE fabric store hands down! From the moment you walk in the staff is incredibly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The fabrics are gorgeous and variety ranges from specialty sequin designs to beautiful satins. You can find fabrics for a special occasion garments to a simple fabric for a backdrop, you can buy a yard or a whole bolt, it's up to you. I love that if I need more of a certain fabric they have it or can order it in most cases. I can show them a picture of what I have in mind and they can show me the same or similar fabric used depending on my budget. Their trim section is also very cool! The fact that they are a local Latinx owned fabric shop ran by family is a huge plus for me! I look foward to seeing what new designs they have on display which are made by local designers. This to me is a testament to their dedication and support of their customers and that is a beautiful thing. This shop is truly a gem! Check it out, you'll see what I mean! It smells so bad in there it’s on the same street as about 7 other fabric shops, since I went there first I thought maybe it was just how the building smelled (they’re all connected, one big wharehouse) but no. I went on to visit the rest and they smelled really nice. I did notice the workers were dirty (their shirts) maybe it was a must that was filling the air making it so sour. Or where ever they were getting the fabric but I didn’t stay long the smell made me nauseous…..and the workers were just sitting and talking in the smell while it permeated I couldn’t understand. Which made me really wonder where it came from because anyone clean would smell that and be bothered. ( enough to leave a review obviously). Do...

My experience at Petra's Fabric Store was deeply disappointing due to the staff's disrespectful attitude towards customers especially “ADAN”. I overheard employees gossiping about clients, reflecting poorly on their professionalism. Moreover, the store's student discount policy has drastically declined from 20% to just 10%, with instances of the discount not even being applied. This dishonesty is concerning.
