Massage8, aptly named for the bliss it imparts, proved to be an oasis of relaxation during my recent session of the renowned Lomi Lomi massage with the skilled therapist, Helen. From the moment I stepped in, the spa's ambiance promised a journey into tranquility. Helen's mastery of the Lomi Lomi massage technique was truly commendable. Her adept hands conveyed a sense of fluidity and expertise, inducing a profound state of relaxation. The massage wasn't merely therapeutic; it was a harmonious dance of touch that left me feeling rejuvenated and centered. The attention to detail at Massage8 was evident in every aspect of the experience. The carefully chosen aromas and soothing music created an environment conducive to relaxation. The ambiance played a crucial role in enhancing the overall sense of well-being. Helen's personalized approach added an extra layer of excellence. She took the time to understand my specific needs, ensuring that the Lomi Lomi massage addressed areas of tension with precision. Her dedication to tailoring the experience showcased a commitment to delivering a truly bespoke and memorable spa journey. Upon leaving Massage8, the effects of the Lomi Lomi massage lingered, leaving me with a lasting sense of tranquility. I wholeheartedly recommend this spa, particularly for those seeking the perfect blend of skilled therapy and a serene environment. Massage8, with its expert therapists like Helen, deserves not just five but a perfect ten stars for delivering an exceptional Lomi Lomi experience.

Updated review: They finished the remodel and it seems the quality here has dropped. I had a masseuse today who seemed like she didn’t want to touch me. I repeatedly asked for her to rub my neck, but she would poke at me and move on after 45 seconds. She wouldn’t turn off the light or close the door, so I had the pleasure of hearing everything that was happening in the lobby. She spent a lot of time setting up and making noise, bumping the table and dropping items into the washbin. I made the mistake of getting the head “therapy” but it was only shampoo and rinsing. Before I booked, I asked the receptionist (new person) what the therapy involved and she described neck and shoulder massage and aromatherapy. My shoulders never got touched and I’m more tense than before. The rate for this treatment was too high. With all the other distractions, clients talking loudly in the lobby, and lack of enthusiasm from the masseuse I just didn’t have a good time. Original review: Very professional and talented people working here, great deal and availability. I loved the couples massage, hot stone, oils, and tranquil music. This is my third time here and I’m very much looking forward to coming back! They have great hours and a cozy lobby. Parking is difficult.

I had been to this massage salon 3 times with decent service for the price and was considering a monthly membership, but the 4th time was absolutely not the charm and I will not be back.

TW/SA

About a month ago, I went for a full body 60 minute Swedish massage. What I received was not a Swedish massage, and was the most uncomfortable massages I’ve ever had, not to mention the borderline sexual assault.

To start, as a larger woman, I requested a male masseur as I know they can handle the pressure needed to properly massage my muscles. I was given a woman. This masseuse, if you can even call her one, did not apply much pressure at all. About 20 minutes into the massage, it then became clear that she had climbed onto the table and was STEPPING ON MY BODY TO APPLY MORE PRESSURE THAN SHE COULD GIVE. Under no circumstance should anyone STEP ON ANOTHER PERSON WITHOUT EXPRESSED CONSENT!!!!

To move into where I need to give a trigger warning for borderline SA:

The sheet is meant to protect customers’ private areas, making them more comfortable and making the massage appropriate. Multiple times, this masseuse pulled the sheet below my entire glutes down to my thighs when handling my upper body (what’s even the point of the sheet at that point?), putting her hands down my butt crack multiple times during the massage. In a state of shock, I had no clue how to react and did not say anything to stop her. I should have, as it got worse.

Upon massaging my thighs and hamstrings, the masseuse put her hands closer to my private areas than anyone but my boyfriend should go. Again, I was stunned, and did not react.

When flipping me over, the masseurs I’ve had in the past (all 30+ times at different locations) have left the sheet on me to allow me to flip myself. This masseuse lifted the sheet completely, staring at me the entire time as I covered my breasts and private areas out of discomfort.

Once again when massaging my thighs, she had put her hands closer to my private area than she ever should have even considered.

I went in that day to get a massage to relax. I came out with more anxiety and discomfort in a very long time.

All of this had been reported to massage 8 directly, and after requesting to speak to a manager about it, the person who answered the phone kept claiming to be one, then said they’d call me back after speaking to the manager about how to handle this situation. They never called back. I’ll never be back, and highly suggest others finding a different place to go, regardless how good the price seems.

Edit:

Massage8 tried to contact me today to “make me more comfortable”.

Their chance is long gone. They had the opportunity to make me comfortable by taking action when the incident was reported a month ago. They had the chance to check in and follow up that day, then that week later. They never did. I will never be able to walk in Massage8 again without flashbacks to a woman putting her hands in places they shouldn’t be. I’ll never be able to relax in Massage8 again and I’ll be lucky if a massage relaxes me at all in...

I don’t normally write reviews, but I will give my honest opinion. I’ve had a ton of massages internationally & within the US. My girlfriend and I went in last minute around 9:14 PM.

Pros: open pretty late & I just flew in, hours are awesome We had Jerry & Kevin. My guy was amazing although the receptionist confused who was who at the end. My guy was younger if that’s helpful. I would highly recommend him and might go back before I leave because it was top 3 best massage I’ve ever had. Spa was clean. No weird smells like some other places.

Cons: walls are a little thin & unfortunately my friend didn’t have the same experience and she was right next to me the whole time. There was a lot of rushed shuffling going on & we booked 2 90 minute massages. If anyone pays over $130 for massage it needs to be pretty damn good quality. To play devils advocate, maybe because we were one of their last customers maybe there was just less attention to giving a good performance. I will say the front desk person was pretty pushy as mentioned in the other reviews. We already were purchasing a 90 minute massage & to have a good experience there’s no need to upsell. Your business will do better if you offer a suggestion but don’t be pushy about it if we are already spending $200 plus at your spa. We also mentioned we could do the couples massage but she charged us individually instead. At the end of the massage my friend kindly asked for him to do her feet as that was one of the areas she needed work on but he completely skipped it. When she asked he just threw a hot towel and that was it. I then pushed the front desk lady to ask for my guy and requested for him to do her feet just for 15 minutes and I tipped him generously for staying late. If you want repeat customers cater to them, don’t try to upsell or just say sorry for the confusion when certain areas were asked to be worked on. It wasn’t a 30 minute quick massage, it was 90 minutes. A full body massage is doable in 60 minutes.

Overall for me it was a great experience, I just felt bad for my friend because she was right next to me and didn’t have the best experience.

Finding a good masseuse is similar to finding the right therapist, you gotta shop around & it’s not always cheap.

Go for deep tissue if you want things in your body to improve, if you want to just have someone pet you ask for light touch and a Swedish massage.

Every masseuse comes from different training and background and every customer has a different preference of how they like to be touched. Hope this review is helpful about this place and...
