Italia Express Cedar Springs — Restaurant in Dallas

What can I NOT say about this Quaint Cafe. I have been looking for a Mom and Pop Italian Restaurant (Cafe) with Awesome food, Price and a relaxing atmosphere for about a year. As my cousin was having medical test run at Baylor Hospital I decided to Google and find one...AND I DID 👍. Just about 10 minutes from Baylor coming up 1st on my search was Italia Express Cafe on Cedar Springs. I looked and read their reviews, most all were 4 to 5 stars 🌟. Yessss finally I found one. As soon as my cousins test were completed, I couldn't wait to tell her about this Cafe. So we went. Parking was a little confusing but I was lucky and got a space right next to it. Going inside I must say, the restaurant (cafe) was very clean, not to large in size but just right for enjoying a meal and relaxing. Ordering was pleasant as was ALL the employee's. I had Chicken Parmesan and a side salad and Yes they had Root Beer 💘, my cousin had Manicotti and a side salad and Iced Tea. As we sat at our table the view was totally awesome. Windows that you are able to see all your surroundings. Our food was brought to the table omj the smell was delicious and my lord...for the PRICE the portions were more than worth it. When I took my first bite...I was in heaven, the chicken parmesan was so tender, the salad was fresh and delicious...I'll admit my Eyes 👀 were bigger than my stomach but I was determined I was gonna finish it all...lol low and behold I had to get a doggy bag and my cousin too. I think I took double digit pics 📷 because when I go out to a place to eat whether it's a McDonalds or an Expensive Restaurant and the food was excellent and the service was superb I'm gonna spread the word...oh that goes for bad service and bad food too!!! But as I said their is Not 1 thing to say negative about this place...Charlie that helped us was very out going and has a super personality...went above and beyond for us...my cousin is disabled and I want to thank all the staff especially Charlie for the laughs that came from her that day 😃. They ALL also practiced safe and cleanliness during this Pandemic wearing their Mask 😷 at ALL TIMES!!!

I didn't realize my cousin Mary had bought dessert till we got back to her home. Omj that was even delicious 😋. I know this review is long....But when you find a place with Great Prices, Super Good Food and  Awesome People waiting on you...I feel All Kudos need to be given..Now after an hour plus of being there, we leave with our doggie bags and a to go drink in hand and a Bill for 2 people well under $40.00...heck I couldn't get out of "Olive Garden for less than $75.00" (and very smaller portions) for 2 people when I did (as I said did) go there and that was year($) ago!!! Oh!!! As for that doggie bag. I heated it up the next day and I must say...the food was as scrumptious as when I ordered it 😋...so to Charlie, and the other young gentlemen, Thank you for a wonderful experience and the laughs...I (we) will be back. I am due to go to New Braunfels to visit my son, and I noticed on my to go cup you have one in Waco...well I know where we'll be dining in at...lol 😉 I hope everyone enjoys the pics and if you like or love Italian food or Italian Pizza...I really suggest stopping in or take out or have it delivered and try a bite YOU will not be disappointed ☺.

so I usually go in here and always have a pretty decent experience. My normal time is at night but today I decided to come in early and grab some lunch all going well. Great service At the front register and pretty friendly like normal. I got my food to taste was great but as I was finishing a portion of my food, I found a long strand of hair that had been fried into my calamari. when I noticed this, the young man from the cash register was cleaning off a table and I immediately told him and he told me right away that he would fix it. I said OK And sat down and continued my conversation on the phone and finished the rest of my food that was still amazing by the way. The other person from the side where I believe they were cooking, came over and said to me there was only a small portion of it left so I can only Make a small portion To correct our error. The young man, I feel wasn’t intentionally trying to be rude, but I also do not feel like he understood how extremely rude he was to a extremely calm customer who just found a long strand of hair that had been fried into his calamari. at first out of frustration, I asked for my money back for the calamari, but instead I chose to just take the rest of my food that was still good and chuck it up to a bad experience. whoever actually runs this place because the young man said that this was a family owned business. Please make sure that your employees know how to rectify situations like this. I understand with small family businesses maybe making another batch of fried calamari a full batch would have been a stretch, but, understand that you made the mistakes so you have to eat that mistake. Thank you for all the times that was great, but this will definitely be my last...

Been coming here for at least a year consistently!! Every time I spend at least $40/$50.. sometimes multiple times a week.. well today they decided to show their colors. I went out my way, as usual, to get a box of pizza. My daughter went in for me to place the order. Took them 20 mins to make the pizza.. she waited for me to pick her up when she opened the box in the car it had hair melted into the cheese.. the pizza was piping hot. Instead of asking for a refund since I had two different pieces of hair, one was on the crust between the slices.. I sent my daughter back in asked for a remake with a courtesy FOUNTAIN drink for my wasted time for another pizza.. the tall one said “it’s on the oven no” not one ounce of remorse for selling a side of hair with my pizza, the wasted time, nothing. Only reason I had the remake was my daughter likes it and she rarely ate during her last chemo round. He had a lot of attitude in his voice. So I call on the phone he took the phone off his ear then came back saying I broke up.. I was right outside and literally saw his actions! But to top it off he hung up in my face!! Again if my daughter didn’t barely eat I would have refunded.. but after spending hundreds of dollars here bringing friends and family I will not give any more of my money on the customer service displayed today. I asked why did you hang up in face he said cause I didn’t want to give the drink, that’s all he had to say. Then said we took the list on the remake- news flash I didn’t order hair with my pizza again that could have been a refund.. next time show some empathy apologize and don’t be a butt over your nastiness adding hair in peoples food(not saying it was intentional but your attitude disregards...
