Extremely upset with the service we received tonight. We frequent the topgolf in Waco, but will not be back to the Dallas location.
Made a reservation for two, sat ourselves, as told, at our bay. Took a while to be greeted, and even longer to get the waters we asked for. Whatever, no big deal. It’s late on a Saturday night, we understand. I eventually ordered a vodka redbull for myself mid We didn’t get our original waters until I received my drink. Still, whatever. Upon drinking, I realized my drink was wrong. It was something made with whiskey - no redbull, no vodka. I had my boyfriend test it and he said the same. I decided not to say anything, since our server was obviously busy and we rarely saw her, and because I too have been a server for years, I didn’t want to make her night harder. I sucked it up and drank the drink even though I can’t stand whiskey. This wouldn’t have been a big deal… until the check came out. She charged without asking or checking if we needed anything else, which we know they are always supposed to do at the end. I see that I was charged $10.50 for Grey Goose and almost $6.00 for Redbull. I was extremely confused, since I didn’t specify a vodka, ESPECIALLY Grey Goose. I then went and asked our waitress if their well vodka was Grey Goose, and she said yes. After leaving and searching online, I now realize that their well vodka is New Amsterdam (as most establishments are) and NOT Grey Goose. So, I paid $17+ for a drink I, #1 didn’t recieve, and #2 didn’t request. The drink was the only thing I ordered, and I tipped her according to the total. After leaving I realized I’d been played and lied to, and had been given below average service even before the drink fiasco. I learned my lesson and should have spoken up and done my research before leaving. I feel stupid for trying to give the girl a break instead of speaking up.
Furthermore, there were barely any four left handed clubs for my boyfriend anywhere. We searched and asked the front desk, but it seems there weren’t anything more than the four he had. We were also approached twice to see if someone else could use them by two employees. They were both very sweet, but it seemed other customers were obviously dealing with the lack of clubs as well.
We had come to celebrate my boyfriends birthday and are now very upset and disappointed we chose Top Golf in...
Read moreWhat a rip off. If you want to see poor customer service, be treated like you're a moron, and be taken advantage of, then this Top Golf location is for you. I recently organized an event here for my company for 33 people. We paid $33 per person for a Fajita Fiesta, which is basically steak and cheese fajitas with all the fixings.
The food itself was decent, average to better than average. The issue was that they didn't give us enough food, not even close. About 25 people were fed adequately, another 3 ate a little bit trying to preserve the food for others, and 5 people did not eat at all. When we asked the manage to bring us more food, they refused. The accused us of having more than 33 people, which we did not. They said everything is portioned exactly. They said each person should have gotten one or two tortillas.
So to be clear, for $33, a person gets one of two small tortillas. Ridiculous. They told us if we wanted more food, we would have to pay for it. Because we did not want our employees going hungry, we ordered enough food for 12 more people. They told us we would get it within 30 minutes. More than 55 minutes later, they delivered the food. They filled up the same food bins about two-thirds of the way full. So let me get this straight, the first time was enough for 33 people, the refill is for 12 people, yet it's now two-thirds full? Something isn't right. Clearly, the first round was not for 33 people. It was for around 20.
I have done many events like this, and never seen a situation where we ran out of food. If anything, we usually have food leftover. By the time the food finally came, most of our group had already departed, as it was past 9pm. When the food finally did come, the manager said they would let us play an extra 30 minutes of golf because the food came out late. Great. At that point, everyone was ready to leave anyway.
My colleague and I tried making our case to the manager multiple times, all very calmly. It was like talking to a wall. They knew we needed more food, and they knew we had to pay for it. They purposely ripped us off. Do not book your event here. You...
Read moreI want to start by saying I understand there are policies in place, to keep everybody safe on the property. As I arrived at nine, my bay was not ready so I sat at the bar and got a drink and my date a woman got a shot I was told when I was sat down in my bay that there was a two drink limit per hour, and every hour after that it would be one drink or shot. No problem I spoke to a manager to confirm because I had been to topgolf in multiple different locations and the rules were different after I spoke with him I said OK perfect that’s fine. He told me that he was new from a different location and that they were very strict on the policy at this location , so after that, we just enjoyed the range a little bit and we ordered food which was very mediocre. Nothing was ate they refunded the chicken tenders because the texture was terrible. On my way out after we had finished golfing for an hour. I stopped at the bar and asked if I could be served another shot for me and my partner I was on my first date with this girl and I thought everything was going fine up until this point, she informed me that the manager had said we were not allowed to get any more drinks even after he had told me that after the hour I would be able to get another shot. So I went and I spoke to him and he agreed, I believe he told me his name was john but i cant confirm because he had his name tag covered with a price. The lady working the bar, was very rude her name was mique, I understand she is doing her job but there is a way to speak to people i felt her tone was aggressive, because i was going off the rules they had told me at the beginning of my golfing experience. I honestly feel like the basis of the denial was discriminatory, either because i was a woman or i was on a date with a woman. I watched a man who was golfing prior to my arrival come to the bar and be served and then go back to his bay they didn't have him on a strict 2 drink limit. When i asked for my receipt from the manager he told me he couldn’t get it...
