Don't get me wrong they offer good prices on their merchandise but they add health insurance, job insurance, disability insurance and all kinds of fees when you finance. My wife and I only financed because we could get it 12 months no interest "supposedly". From the very first payment interest was added to our purchase. We financed $999.00 we paid the taxes immediately. Now this started February 2024. We paid $150 every month before the first to keep "no interest" payments. It is now July I kept getting balances because the statements wouldn't reflect no interest payments. So we come home after paying another payment and I check our bank to see how much we have paid. I told my wife we should only owe about $100-$150. Turns out we had already paid including the taxes $970.00 so we should've only owed $100. I called them and they told me we owed over $500. Next day we go down to the store and she proceeds to show me where they had added all these insurances, one for disability and we are disabled already. I'm repeating now that we didn't need to finance this furniture, we just do it to keep up our credit. So I argued the point of my wife already being disabled so they dropped that $50 insurance but no more. Needless to say we paid the balance and will never buy another thing from them. I wouldn't recommend my worst enemy to buy anything from them. They don't offer free delivery. They won't take away old furniture and we are both disabled. If you want to just out right buy something either take a truck and friends or be willing to pay $100 for delivery and better have area cleared out where you want it to go. The people they had deliver the furniture looked like they were sizing up our house to see what we had, glad we have cameras and safe with protection in our house. Just read everything and dont sign anything that gives them room to put on addons. Worst...
Read moreMy disappointment was the fees added, it was almost $1500 in fees for 12 months zero interest payments on $2200 worth of furniture, we didn't ask for insurance, just a warranty! Plus, I was told my payment would be a certain dollar amount, turns out they add another $4 a month to be enrolled in AUTO PAY. I was NOT verbally disclosed that information in the store. And after the first payment came out of our account, we called and was told it's a flat fee or I could pay in the store and it was"listed on the paperwork." Did I read the 20 pages of documents while looking after my two kids in the store, absolutely not! And they do NOT offer, ACH which SHOULD not have a fee (are we in the stone age). Obviously, my mistake for not reading all the paperwork before leaving the store, but rest assured, it will not happen again at this company. With the amount of money spent and the "FEES", it's appalling to be subjected to auto payment fees of...
Read moreI have been both a customer and employee of Farmers Furniture. The Furniture there is the same as most other furniture stores. They carry all the same manufactures. As far as collecting if you fall behind they do call you, the key is to communicate. If you make a promise to pay and can’t pay call them. Farmers is corporately owned despite the managers name on the door. So how many calls collectors make is corporate mandated. And if an item is broken there is a process they must follow. If covered by manufacture warranty they give you the numbers to call. If it’s covered by a service plan then the process is different. The manager at the Dalton location will go out of his way to correct an issue a consumer may have. Chris Ray is an...
