Wingstop — Restaurant in Dalton

On 04/27/2023 my wife and I tried Wingstop in Dalton Ga store #2350. We placed an order for 20 traditional wings, Large Fries and two waters. The cashier Eimly asked did we want bottled water and we responded with a no. She then proceeded to hand us two cups and our receipt. Once at our table I was reviewing the receipt and realized that she had charged me for two drinks at $2.79 each. I walked back up to the cashier and asked if she meant to charge me for two drinks and she responded that she gave me two cups and I told her that we ordered water and that is what we got and she told me that she had to charge me for the cup. I asked "really" and she said yes so I returned to my table. Someone then called our name and we received our food. Once I tasted the fries I tasted something sweet so I decided to ask someone about it and they said that there is something sweet in the seasoning so I asked could they make me some new ones without the seasoning and a male employee that was acting as manager said yes. I sat back down and ate really greasy wings and then on our way out of the restaurant after not receiving the fries I asked if they could just refund the my money for the fries and the acting manager asked me "did someone not bring your fries out" and I said no. He then asked me if I wanted him to make me some and I responded no that we were already finished eating." I asked him if he could just refund them and he responded no. I said seriously and he said no we already gave you your fries and I responded "no they did not that another employee threw them away" and he responded that they don't do refunds. I then asked him what his name was and I couldn't really understand because he was mumbling so I asked him again and couldn't hear him again but it sounded like Preston...

Tried this with the hubs today. I ordered the 8pc combo with seasoned fries and a coke. THE WINGS: These may have been the worst wings I’ve had in my life. I ordered the “classic” bone-in wings with Cajun sauce on half and classic hot (I believe it was) on the other half. I couldn’t eat 3 of my wings because the bone of the chicken broke apart inside the wing, leaving what I presume was bone marrow throughout. 🤢 It was sharp and dangerous besides that. Sooo, the other 7-8 were mediocre at best. Go ahead and skip the classic hot flavor. Nothing close to a depth of flavor. Just hot and red. The Cajun flavor, however was good. THE FRIES: the seasoning on these are strange. It’s like the fries don’t know what they’re trying to be. Are they sweet? Salty? Smoky? They don’t know. But it’s definitely not my cup of tea. I will say- these fries are real. Or at least look as if they’ve been fresh cut and prepared in house. (Similar to Five Guys) The seasoning just throws you off. So, they get partial credit for that. THE COKE: yes, I even have to comment on the coke. It tasted watery as soon as I got it from the fountain. As someone who has worked in the service industry and with fountain drink machines, it does not taste like it’s a CO2 issue. It tastes like a syrup issue.

10/10 don’t recommend. My hubby said “when Zaxbys has better wings, you know it’s bad.” I cannot refute...

Freshly opened so I understand the need of patience but I’ve tried to order twice & the first time it was an hour wait & wasn’t in the mood to wait that long (no complaints there because it was the first day open) the second time I tried to order I tried ordering through the app, the app stated that I couldn’t so I call & when I call the automated line told me to press 1 to place an order, as I did the cashier proceeded to tell me I can’t order through the phone & that I needed to order online so I told her what the app stated & said well you’re just gonna have to come in then I asked how long is the wait time & she told me to hang on (I guess she didn’t realize she didn’t put me on hold) she asked someone how long is the wait right now they told her 15-20 mins & she then giggled & said well I’m just gonna tell her 25-35 mins. I then said something & she apologized about it. All in all, when I came in the place the order inside the staff was friendly to me but not very friendly to another lady behind me. The food is good & the atmosphere isn’t very diverse but it can be a great spot with a few...
