Ives Concert Park — Attraction in Danbury

Close to I-84 and the heart of Danbury, The Ives Concert Park is a beautiful venue tucked in the woods on the westside campus of Western CT University. Its stage sits upon a pond which offers a beautiful background for any shows, concerts or festivities held there. Graduations have been held there, concerts, ballet,comedy shows and more. The serene, rustic quaintness of the Ives adds to it charm ....shows beneath the stars (yea, VIP seating is available), food trucks ( no, you cannot bring in your own food and drink), yes, port-o-pots (well maintained), knowledgeable, helpful staff. While parking is not on immediate site, it is just up the tree lined walkway on the WCSU campus and golf cart transportation by Ives staff is available for anyone who needs assistance. I was a vendor at the art and craft show.. they cancelled the sunday event and notifications went out via email at midnight the night before. They refused to give the vendors a refund and the majority of the staff were not African American friendly. The gentleman with the bull horn announced the 1 food vendor but ignored the African American food vendor. I sent an email for a refund for the cancelled days and was informed that they gave everyone a memo. Find this hard to believe when 80% of the vendors were unaware of the cancellation.
