I planed a bridal shower for my sister here months in advance. I left a deposit of several hundred to reserve the space together. I commuted all the way from Manhattan along with a lot of the guests. When my wife arrived the staff tried to tell me i couldn't have the vent i paid for and planned. i spent several thousand dollars on this venue aside from just the space at the restaurant. After a while arguing, i finally broke down and said "how much?!" it was clear the issue was more money and i was not in a position to bargain as my guests were there standing.
After i spent several hundred more dollars, Which was NOT PART OF OUR AGREEMENT, they finally accommodated my guests. By accommodated i mean, we were no longer asked to stand and were allowed seats. Then after some bargaining i was able to get HALF of the tables i had reserved and started unloading the cars. Within 15 minutes i was told i had too much stuff and was not allowed to use half of the stuff i bought for the venue.
I wish i could say that the owner or manager and i reached some kind of mutually acceptable agreement along the way but this is not one of those stories. They tried to charge me for alcohol and stick me with extra bills every chance they got. This party was a nightmare from the word go. The worst part is, this restaurant was the cheapest part of the occasion. In other words, i would've happily spent more money if it meant the bride to be had the time of her life.
After the party was over i was contact by the owner in what seemed to be an attempt to rectify the problematic scenario. After a few hollow promises about refunding some of my money and a fake apology, the owner didn't even live up to what he offered to make me happy. (a partial refund). To this day they have done nothing but take my money and complain about how my party (the one who reserved months in advance) was loud and inconveniencing. thats right, the bridal shower, which consisted of a medium age of 40+, and several grandparents who were senior citizens, were too loud for the happy hour crew at this restaurant/bar. i am still waiting for a refund...

I’d called about having a party hosted, briefly spoke with the owner (Ben Vrenezi) over the phone to first see if my desired date was available, and was asked if I could instead email him.
I emailed Ben the following day, again to simply ask if the date was available for ~40 people, only to receive the same response again from Ben: he’d check and get back to me. I followed up two days later with a “Hi, Just following up,” when I hadn’t gotten any further response, but received no further communication from Ben.
I swing by this past Saturday while I was in the area, figuring maybe it’d be easier to just talk in person. I mentioned to the maitre d’ that I was just looking for some basic info about hosting a party and whether a particular date was available. She said she’d grab the owner and be back shortly. Lo and hold, Ben comes out to meet me. We exchange pleasantries, he asks that I refresh him on the basics (how many people, if I had anything in mind for menu, etc.), and asked what questions I had for him. I asked if I could know first if the desired date was available. To which he said… “I’d have to check the book in the office. If you call or email me, I’ll get back to you.”
This despite standing in the restaurant, not 20 feet from his office.
Whether unintentional or a deliberate rebuff, I was floored. He couldn’t take all of a minute to check his calendar? Or if it’s a matter of just not desiring my business, just telling me they couldn’t accommodate me.
Whatever the case, I’m not especially interested in fighting to give someone my money. I bit my tongue at his request to email him again, instead simply thanking him for the few minutes of his time...
Read moreThe Dolce is a great quality Italian style restaurant that offers guests delicious and well made Italian dishes and superb customer service.
In May Of 2021, I brought and treated my wife and myself for dinner at Dolce to celebrate our Happy Seven Year Relationship Anniversary!!! It was our first time dining at Dolce and the restaurant made a wonderful first impression.
Both my wife and I were deeply impressed with the restaurant’s beautiful indoor settings, and we were delighted with the wonderful treatment we received from the restaurant’s staff, especially by our waiter, Bujar V.
Bujar was thoroughly attentive to our needs, he helped insure that our meals were very well presented and timely served, and would routinely inquire on whether my wife or I needed further assistance.
Both my wife and I would like to acknowledge and thank Bujar for his stellar customer service and for his great poise and professionalism.
In addition to the service we received, my wife and I definitely enjoyed our respective meals. Our meals were very well cooked and seasoned, and highly scrumptious.
Our time at Dolce was a wonderful dining experience and we recommend that everyone take the chance to visit and dine at this superb...
