Stop & Shop — Attraction in Danbury

Worse Stop & Shop! The only part of this store I like there is the pharmacy. I went in there this past Saturday to pick up 2 balloons for a birthday party. AS USUAL, the floral area had no one working in there to blow the balloons up for me. I went to customer service desk to ask if someone will be there to work the area and told them what I needed the answer was NO. They said they had no one for the day to work that area which means if anything is needed from there you could not purchase. I asked to speak to the Manager.....he says they have no one to work the helium tank 🙄. I asked " so you guys are willing to loose business in that area for today?" They could have asked any one of their workers that where just standing around to help blow 2 balloons. No one had anything to say just brushed me off. I go in there almost every day and spend a lot of money there to be treated this way. For as long as I can remember the customers are ALWAYS suppose to be satisfied. That's not going to happen here. The customer service staff are RUDE and do not care to find a solution to help customers. Never seen a business run this way. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I rather go to shop rite, they have better prices anyway and much more helpful. Stop n Shop on Lake Ave...

Was hesitant to go shopping at Stop & Shop due to my previous experiences were that they consider themselves a high-end store. Which means items that you could buy at ShopRite or some other grocery stores for one price, ShopRite usually charges more. I was pleasantly surprised when I went into the deli to find out the cold cuts that I was purchasing were less than I usually pay in Florida and less than a lot of other grocery stores in the area from what I was to understand. When I went to go check out, they wanted to charge me for a grocery bag. It's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of and all my years of going grocery shopping. Coincidentally enough, I happen to have a plastic bag from the store I just shopped in so I had them put the cold cuts in there. With the five different cold cuts I purchased, when I got home, they were only three different cold cuts. I checked the receipt and I was charged for them but never received them. I was going to go back and complain but the receipt was lost, so I didn't bother. I hate to say it and I don't think this is what it is, but maybe that's how they can afford to sell the cold cuts cheaper cuz you never...

Parked in a giant pothole, a good 8-10" deep. I was looking for tortillas and had to hunt through 3 areas on two opposite sides of store. Sale on Ben & Jerrys wasn't shown in section but was shown on endcap. Items constantly ring up higher than posted. The self checkout was a bad joke, every other item required supervisor assistance. He did the best he could but everyone else was having the same problem. It was chaotic despite your great employee Roberto who should get combat pay for the shift. He kept calm and had a friendly smile the whole time. Fortunately there didn't seem to be any Karens there, thank goodness. The only reason I shop here is Big Y is some distance further. I'm looking forward to Carluzzis open in 2 months. Maybe fewer customers will make it easier for your employees and truckers to keep your store in better shape.
