Gasper Arts Center — Attraction in Dania Beach

Jo was an amazing instructor! Her teaching style was engaging and she made the class very fun. As we entered the studio, we were treated to a tour and the opportunity to explore the gallery, even considering the option to purchase some of the artists' pieces. This experience was the perfect choice for a rainy date night. We made two very “unique” bowls each and it was so fun watching them take form. Jo told us that they’ll be dishwasher and microwave safe once fired so we’ll definitely be using them around the house. We were also given the option to come back and paint our bowls ($18,) or have them painted for us (free!)The class size was small and allowed us to connect with our fellow participants and socialize after the session. My boyfriend surprised me with the Pottery Wheel Throwing class as a post Valentine's day gift. It was SO much fun! There were 11 of us in the class, and our instructor, Jo, really took the time to make sure everyone was attended to when they hit bumps in the process. We got to do 2 pieces each, which was a nice surprise as other art classes usually only include one piece. I found a Groupon online for Gasper Art Centers beginners wheel throwing class! I went with a friend of mine and we had the BEST time. Very relaxed environment, lots of fun. Overall, great vibe! 10 out 10 would recommend. Perfect for a date night, birthday, casual fun night with a girlfriend. You can come back and paint your piece (for a fee). Jo was our teacher and she was patient, great with directions and super easy to work with. She is fantastic.
